Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Kimberly Ann Staton Hancock I was born in Clinton county, raised in Boone county, and live in Montgomery county, all Indiana. I have been interested in genealogy for twenty years and have been working on our family tree.
I clean and restore tombstones. I am the Cemetery Coordinator for the Genealogy Club of Montgomery County, Indiana. Just finished restoring O'Neall cemetery. The Club is currently working on the restoration of the Yountsville cemetery in Montgomery county, Indiana. Started in August of 2011.
I add memorials just to help others, if you see a family member on here that I have added, please do not hesitate to ask for the transfer, my main concern is to add as many as I can & to help others & to get it right. If you see a family member of mine on here and have an addition please do not hesitate to e-mail me.
My main goal it to clean and restore our Pioneer cemeteries, I have a tri-pod and generator, all the equipment to level, clean, repair, and fix a 1 ton monument, as long as it is not over 8 feet tall. Happy Hunting, Kim

I have put edits through for Elizabeth Cowan (35425693). Although the headstone does not reflect it, she was married to Lewis Repp Ferguson. I have found their marriage record and her death certif on The death certif gives her father's name and lists her step-son Tom as the informant

Hi Kim,
Just noticed that I am listed as photo person for this memorial. ??? Have tried to correct it but to no avail. Can you tell me how to get your name back on these?

Michaels Cemetary

I was wondering whether or not the Michael ' s Cemetary is locked? It contains my ancestor Cornelius Michaels and some of his family members that I would later like to request a transfer of. His son Thomas is buried in Benton County with his wife Sarah Swan.

Thomas and Michael had 13 children, 11 of which died at a young age. I was hoping to find out if they're buried in this Cemetary.

Thank you for all of your help and for posting the records.

"Edits" on FAG
Yes, Kim, it is weird, one does not get an e-mail notice. You have to go to your profile page. At the top right click on "edits" (not profile) but the other one. It will come up and give you options whether to approve on pending ones etc. I hope this helps. DAM

Hi Kim, I have sent you a few edits to approve. I hope you will approve them and several family members can be linked. Thanks for all you do for all of us both on Find A Grave and in restoring these old stones. DAM

RE: Photo permission
Sorry for that--I should have checked! At any rate, it was a very good thing! Much appreciated. Gwen

RE: Photo permission
Thank you very much! Again, thanks also for your wonderful work in restoring the Yountsville Cemetery. When we were there several years ago, we were dismayed to see its condition, but I didn't know how to do anything about it, so I was thrilled to later discover that the Montgomery County historical society had undertaken the restoration and to see the results on Find a Grave. Regards, Gwen

Photo permission
Hello Kimberly,
I wrote to you in the fall asking permission to use some of your photos from the restored Yountsville cemetery on my family tree. I have photos from pre-restoration, but I wanted to show the before and after. If you don't mind, I would like to continue to use your photos, with attribution to you. Please let me know if this is okay with you. Regards, Gwen
