Annie Belle Shatto Miller Memorial

Thanks so much for the substantial edits to Annie Belle Miller's memorial and also for transferring it to me. Very much appreciated. My main focus on Findagrave is to get Shatto memorials developed and linked up.

And many thanks to you for creating memorials. You are a God send to many of us.

Best, Barry

Hi Annie,

You are so kind and if it were not for you, I would never have found my cousins.

Re: E.A. Carter
I saw you left some flowers on his memorial, and was wondering do you know if E.A. Carter is actually Elliot A Carter, who lived with his neice, Lovina Carter?

And if so, do you know what his parents' names are from direct knowledge?

Ref: Elmwood St Joseph Cemetery
Mason City, Cerro Gordo, Iowa

Thanks! :-)

I went ahead and transferred the Morgans to you.
I think it would be nicer for you to take care of them since you knew them and you know the unit for Roger too.

Check the article for the Greenwood cemetery boards meeting Altoona Mirror Page 10 Jan 13, 1904

There were supposed to be so many buildings in the cemetery and it looked like they had so many big plans for Greenwood. But, it seems like they ended up lacking funding as the years went on maybe.

I also don't know if they ever did get the trolley line routed to run past it or not. It was supposed to have a stop near tge cemetery in the early 1900's.

Hope this helps some more.

Have a great day!!

Greenwood Monument

For whatever reason they never did make one.
I saw that in an article in the papers as I was researching Greenwood.
There was to be a "Ladies Waiting Area" as well.
I think that was up at the top of Greenwood around section A.
There seems to be some ruins of what looks to be a small building.

But, as to the monument for whatever the reason they never did put one in the actual cemetery.

I have wondered about that too

If you find anything out let me know too :)
