It is my hope that the gravestone photos I post will help others in their ancestry research. They may be freely copied. If you would like to acknowledge the source it would be appreciated as it might also help others in their research.|
I am very willing to share the memorials and will transfer those who are not in my own family trees.
Any added information to the memorials has come from my own personal research or other contributors. Suggestions for corrections or additions are always welcome.
A huge THANK YOU is due those (especially EMILY, JERE, PATTI, and ADAM) who walked, read, catalogued, published books, and/or posted to the county websites long, long before Find-A-Grave was born! They are the true pioneers of cemetery research in our county, and their work makes our contributions much easier.
One of the best rewards of working on Find-A-Grave is the opportunity to work with those contributors who truly care about the loved ones of others and are willing to share the memorials.
When we work together to make the Find-A-Grave memorials as accurate as possible we are honoring the memory of someone's loved ones.

I've added the additional information you provided.
|Dennis Lauzon||Memorial# 14306471|
Susan May "Susie" Wheeler Connell
Birth: Oct. 15, 1873
However her gravestone has 1868 as her birth year.
She is my wife's 2nd great-grandmother and we are trying to get all the detail as accurate as possible. Many other ancestry trees have the 1873 date in their tree as they may have taken directly from your record.
Do you know for certain that 1873 was her birth year or was her gravestone correct with the year 1868?
Thank you and beat Regards!

Thank you for the heads up for the Lon Lifsey memorial. I had submitted some edits for some Lifsey memorials and those memorials were transferred to me. I did not catch that the memorial for Lon Lifsey was actually a duplicate for Alonzo Solomon Lifsey, memorial# 101427802. I tried to delete the Lon Lifsey memorial# 126292288, but it would not let me since I did not originally create it. I submitted it to Find A Grave to be deleted. Lon's wife, Susan Elizabeth Pearson Lifsey is correctly linked to the Alonzo Solomon Lifsey memorial. I did not want to also link her to the duplicate memorial too, hence the reason I denied your request. I will send an edit request to add the nickname Lon to Alonzo's memorial. I am sure they are the same person, both by their birth and death dates, but he was my husband's great grandfather and my husband remembers him. I noticed your photo of the grave marker is much clearer than the one on Susan's memorial page, so you might want to add it to Alonzo's memorial page. Again, thank you for helping me see an error I had made in not catching that I had a duplicate.

I would like to say thank you so very much for whoever took the pictures of my grandfather, Noah Daniel Hill's, grave and my uncle, Estee Hill's, grave. Both are buried in Alamo Baptist Cemetery in Obion County, TN. It is appreciated more than you know.
Thank you for taking the time to photograph the memorials of the Diggs's for me. I do appreciate your time.

About 10 years ago, I spent a week in Middle Tennessee haunting the back roads looking for family burial spots. I was told that a Philips family cemetery was on private property no longer owned by family but that the current owners wouldn't mind if I went there. I didn't feel comfortable just walking through this field to get to the cemetery even though I could see it from their house. I stopped by twice and tried ringing the doorbell but no one was home. I thought I remembered the house being on a fairly well traveled road but I have slept several times since then so my memory is probably not all that accurate. I keep saying I will get back over there but the rest of my life keeps getting in the way!
Thank you for transferring Nancey to me. She was my 3x great-grandmother.
