Glen, I went back over to WMP and retook Margaret's marker and while there, divined where John was. Placed a flower there and took the picture you see on his memorial. Dee

Glen, I am sorry for the wrong photo. The photo has to be removed by Findagrave. I just submit a second request. You might want to send a request as well. The email address I used was info@findagrave.com.

RE: Genealogy
I just looked them up on my site and I do have her name as Margaret S. Doss and Wright's parents were James and Dosha Smith.

I have Wright dying in Obion County, but he is suppose to be buried in Henderson County, TN.

I guess I need to refresh my memory on the line.

RE: Genealogy
I never knew her last Margaret's last name, thanks to you now I do.

I'm descended from their daughter Margaret Smith who married James Henry Stanfield. I know one of his sisters was married to a Record too. I haven't had a chance yet to work on the Wright line, I just had bits and pieces from the census and what little info I got from other people. That's how I found out where Abraham and Sarah/Sallie were buried. My mother's sister lived right across the road on the curve, from the cemetery where they are buried and we never knew it.

If you want my ancestry website, I can give it to you. Any help on the line would be appreciated. Thanks Gary.

RE: Genealogy
You don't have to feel you are right, you are right. I can prove without a doubt she is the daughter of Wright Smith. You will see Wright Smith was a neighbor to Abraham Stanfield's parents then Abraham bought land next door to them too. You will see that Abraham and Sarah or Sallie, named a son Wright/Right, after his grandfather. Wright Smith moved with Abraham and Sarah along with my grandfather James Henry Stanfield who married Margaret Smith, her sister, and their brother David Stanfield to Obion County, TN.

Wright Smith moved back to Henderson County years later and is buried there. Let me know if I can help you with anything. Did you find Abe and Sallie's headstone? There son Wright spelled Right on his headstone is buried right next to them.

Butler's in New Friendship Chester Co. TN
Hello, I am researching my Mother's family tree and I am almost certain that John E. Butler who is buried in New Friendship is her grandfather. I am hoping and praying that since you were born in Chester Co. and did most of the memorials for New Friendship you might be able to help point me in the right direction. My great grandfather, John E. Butler was murdered in Feb. of 1896 in Henderson, TN along with a Henry Bibb, by James Bagwell. John and Henry Bibb are both buried on the same row in this cemetery. I spent last weekend in Jackson, Tn at the library trying to find out something/anything on the murder or of John's family. I also went to New Friendship Cemetery and photographed every single Butler I could find in the hopes that I may eventually find out they are my family. I want to find out who his parents were, his siblings, ect.......If this is indeed my John Butler, he was married to Martha Adeline Moser and had several children. One of whom was my Papaw, Jessie James Edward Butler. Jessie married Myrtle Mae Brashier who had my Mother, Winnie Imogene (Jean) Butler, now Metzger. God Bless, Pam
