I was glad I found this site. This is great to be able to essentially preserve headstones that are in bad shape and about to weather away or due to damage. I love going to old cemeteries when I am out of town for extended periods of time. Gives me something to do on week-ends, keeps me out of trouble and if I am having a bad day I know that no one is going to talk back at me while I am there. If so I will not be going back. Digital camera's are so great for this type of enjoyment. I just think that it is wonderful to have names and dates in your records, but a picture just tops it off, like whipped cream on pumpkin pie. I have a long way to go with this and just hope I keep waking up on the right side of the grass to help me get there. I hope what I do puts a smile on someone's face. A random act of kindness is contagious, help spread it around.
Crenshaw Harrold, Thanks again for your service to Find A Grave. You have my Gr. Gr. Grandmother V. E. Crenshaw #10441763. Her name was Virginia Elizabeth. She married Francis Marion Crenshaw # 9700844 who I have. I respectfully request the transference of her record to myself unless you are closer related. I would like to make multiple additions to my Crenshaw family in the Big Creek Cemetery. Also transfer any other Crenshaws there to me as desired. Thanks again! Linda
Jewell Spruell You photographed the supposed grave at Jefferson Barracks...found out where he is buried....could you remove the far off photo. Please leave the photo of all his crew mates. The site only allows 5 pictures per memorial, so if you remove the 1 photo, we can get a photo of his grave in Illinois where he was disinterred to in 1953.
Alexander Snodgrass Would you by chance have a clearer picture of this tombstone? Unfortunately it is shaded and can't be read but very little. This is for #10800852. This person is in my husband's mother's family tree and I am just trying to bring all my records up to date including Find A Grave pictures. Thank you so much.
Jeanette Crenshaw Thank you for your service to the community. I made suggestions for edit giving dates recently. This is my maternal great grandmother. # 10427915 Her maiden name WAS Crenshaw. Russell died and she remarried a Hart. Thus Jeanette Crenshaw Crenshaw Hart. I know...way distant cousins! Small world, right? I had put her in as a duplicate but figured out how to delete mine. New to this...appreciate your help!
