RE: Smartt Cemetery in Stone County
Midgie, Thank you for allowing me to use your photograph and the additional information. I have been trying to determine if Parma is located in Stone County or Cleburne County. There are Wikipedia pages for both counties, but neither list Parma as a City, Town, Township, Community or Unincorporated Community.

Can you tell me which county Parma is located in? I was looking at some maps of the area and it appears that the sign for Smartt Cemetery is at the intersection of Old Brewer Rd N and Sutton Dr. This intersection is reached by turning off Hwy 263 South onto Old Brewer Rd North. Is this correct?

My 2nd Great Grandmother on my mother's side lived and was buried in Parma. Her maiden name was Harriett Parlee Folks. She married James Ernest Wells so a headstone would show her as Harriett Parlee Wells. But some records list her using Parlee as her first name. My records show that her husband died in Richwoods, Arkansas, and I don't have any burial information for him.

Thank you again and I appreciate any information you can provide.

Smartt Cemetery in Stone County
Midgie,

I have an ancestor (Parlee Wells) that is buried in the Smartt Cemetery in Parma, Arkansas. It is located in Stone County. I hope it is OK that I submitted your picture of the sign for the Cemetery to a website that collects, organizes, and present as much information as we can about the current and past communities of the United States and Canada.

The website is: http://roadsidethoughts.com

They like many websites have the Smartt Cemetery listed as being spelled with one "t". I want to submit your photo of the sign on Sutton Dr for this cemetery.

I also see from my research that it is listed in several different towns. Not sure if the town of Parma is the best address but since it's on the sign that's what I am going with.

Regards,

David

Thank you for the information, most of which I am fine with. I am not sure about the place of death, however. According to her son, she died in hospital, and I don't find any hospitals listed in the city you provided.

RE: Adam and E.Streets
I have it as Elsie Stumkard but am unable to verify it at this time! Thank you for adding the bio to Adam Streets. I am also not sure of his middle name. Will send message when I know for sure!

Sorry I did not know to look for another person. I was at the cemetery for my mother's funeral and was just trying to get the names on the list.

RE: how are you?
how are you doing? as for me...dreading the heat...haha...today was a nice day to go to cemeteries...unfortunately...my phone has messed up and AT&T has given me grief over it...they have lied several times about the new phone they said they have sent and then to find out that they sent it to the address I was at in California last year...woops...then they tell me that they have sent out another phone and it was sent overnight...NOT!! so long story short...still no phone...my new tablet will upload the billion graves app...and my nook HD to a crap too.. and my computer is running very slow...to answer your questions I only work Mon.-Thurs. until 1:30..off Thurs. thru Sun. Well I hope your days have been better than mine...lol..
