I am a retired Tech Lab teacher in middle school.|
I enjoy genealogy and creating photo album pages of grandkids. I especially enjoy taking pictures of headstones. Cemeteries are lovely, peaceful and quiet.
PLEASE use the edit button to request transfers and make changes/additions to memorials.
Also, since I take a large number of cemstone photos, it is time prohibitive to clean them, especially the older ones, before taking a pic. I will be glad to retake any photos upon request.
AND, I would really appreciate any email communication to include the memorial numbers of the person(s) to whom you are referring. It is so time consuming (and open to error) to find names using the search tool.

Hi, are you related? I am,(Purdy side) and would love to share/compare Purdy/Holloway info.
If not, have a great fall day, and thanks for all your hard work on Find A Grave, if it weren't for loving,kind people like yourself, thousands of ancestors would be lost forever to their loved ones.

Great. I had lost a lot of this in my computer and was glas I found the article. Good look in your research. If you need any help with the graves, please contact me. I live near the Westville Cemetery and Baptist Mission Cemetery. My side of the family is buried in Old Union in Cincinnati, Arkansas. It will be my future home too. lol

I may take a little while to get the information to you but there will be no charge for postage. I just love helping people.

I could mail you the genealogy that I have on the family if you would like to email me your mailing address. I did a genealogy work up for a publication we have. I did not how ever find any Cherokee connection with your line unless someone married into it. Glenita Guthrie

Yes I do know that, but these are people who I was very close and they all deserve more than a date they deserve to have their stories told. One guy has 45,000 memorials up with no markers or pictures or stories with the exception newspaper obits on some. These people lived and made a difference in my life as extended family, they were more like my brothers and sisters than cousins since I only had one much older brother who did not live near us when I was growing up he had already moved to CA. I have been looked at by Find A Grave for one and was given permission to leave it up because it tells a story of the person with pictures and that one is the mother of all these children, while the other one was asked to be taken down. It is in the bylaws or directions that if you are judged by a panel of Find A Grave people and yours is deemed to be of more importance by content then you are allowed to keep yours up. It is hard to see who has what up when they have names misspelled or missing middle name who is who, but most of the ones I found for these cousins were only dates and many no monument pictures either done from newspaper clippings. Just another number for their egos!

If you want to it is up to you. I have nothing to really say about Robert I am not even sure what he died of, probably diarrhea. I looked up what were the main causes of death in the 1920's of infants and that was the only one that seemed feasible. He was born in the Stone House my Great Grandfather built because his parents were living there at the time.

|Amy Robbins-Tjaden||RE: 6785325 Menno Harms Saathoff|
A woman who did her family histories for many generations and over many decades sent me a large package of detailed family trees, many from that area where Menno Harms Saathoff is buried. I took her word for it that Menno is buried where I put him. That doesn't mean she and I couldn't be wrong but that's how I came to put his memorial there. The easiest way to resolve it would probably be to make another photo request for him in the Wymore cemetery and see if someone finds him there.
Do you descend from Saathoffs? I do and have a cousin in what's now Germany who did extensive research and found the common ancestors for all the Saathoffs.

Mae, I am so sorry I haven't got back with you yet. I have been very busy the last couple of months.
What do you think would work best for the memorials? I do think they are the same person, so I guess they should be merged somehow. May I use your grave photos with credit to you? I can also add the links to his wife on my memorial. I would need to notify the person who has the memorials for his children.
Thank you so much! Let me know what you think! I promise to get back with you quickly this time.

I had to do some research to find an answer to your question. Fred died in Garfield County OK and is buried in Zion Lutheran Cemetery there. I have photos of his marker that were sent to me by a friend who was helping me do research. I just forgot about that.

|DSH||Maria Adam Riggert|
If you are continuing your Riggert research, can you learn where Friedrich Riggert is buried and then have him linked to his wife Maria Adam Riggert / http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=90995830? I'm guessing he remarried as Maria was quite young when she died.
