I am a retired Tech Lab teacher in middle school.|
I enjoy genealogy and creating photo album pages of grandkids. I especially enjoy taking pictures of headstones. Cemeteries are lovely, peaceful and quiet.
PLEASE use the edit button to request transfers and make changes/additions to memorials.
Also, since I take a large number of cemstone photos, it is time prohibitive to clean them, especially the older ones, before taking a pic. I will be glad to retake any photos upon request.
AND, I would really appreciate any email communication to include the memorial numbers of the person(s) to whom you are referring. It is so time consuming (and open to error) to find names using the search tool.

|Linda||Mary and Isaac Hawkins...|
Thank you for trying to find Mary and Isaac Hawkins headstones in the Clements Cemetery. Thanks to you at least I know there isn't one. I appreciate you taking the time to do this for me.
Thank you - Linda

I just ran across your photo of "Daughter of AP & EM Loomis" from the Diamond Springs, KA cemetery. Had the child lived, she would have been my aunt. I always knew there was a stillborn child before my mom was born in 1933, but I never knew where she was buried. Is there a way I can get a copy of the photo from you?

For Archie's death I have what I read on his stone some 15 to 20 years ago. I could have read it wrong but his obit, which is in the Stover scrapbooks at the Council Grove Library has the obit. Also my Grandmother Rhoda's death book which she had so many of the death dates marked from friends and friends of friends has this date. She definitely would not have had her brother's date wrong. I also have her diaries and it is mentioned in one of them. I will see if I can find it. Shouldn't be to difficult.
Also there is only one Archie Towler in the cemetery. I am so glad you question my date. You and I don't want mistakes.
Thanks again and I will hold your note incase anything else turns up.

They had three daughters:
Marie E.(Edna M.?) Kemper, born 1900, married Earl H. Hammer on 16 Feb 1918 in Council Grove, Morris County, KS.

Florence Kemper, born 1902 or 1908, married ?? Typless, died 1938.
An obit for Mae E (Cowing) Kemper from the Cpimco; Grpve RE[ib;ocam Thurs, Sept 10, 1964 confirms birth of all three daughters.
Please let me know if you would like more info. I'll be glad to share what I have.

Thanks for the help. This must be a different Gary Hankins. Gary's mother is Alice & she is still alive living in Martin, TN. His dad Joe has passed quite a few years back.
Thanks for the information on the double memorial. Gary for sure is buried at Tansil Cemetery the other memorial is wrong at Woodlawn.

Thank you very much for the close up photo. it definitely shows Nov 25, 1905. I guess the cemetery book must be wrong. Again, thank you for your help.

|Jan Kimbrell||Mary L. Patterson Greene|
wife of James W. Greene.
Mae: Mary Louise is a daughter of Samuel and Rebecca Patterson. One of her youngest siblings, Isaac Patterson is my gr-grandfather. In research, it is apparent that Mary Louise had a child, Minnie, who was 3 yrs old at the time of Mary L's marriage to James Greene in 1880. Minnie is referred to in census' as Minnie Wilson-Greene. And in some census she is claimed a stepdaughter. I cannot find any info on Minnie other than what are in census records. Is there by chance a Minnie Wilson Greene buried near Mary L. Patterson Greene?

Both Archie's and Arena's are hard to read. It is several years since I was there and even then it was difficult. Here is the one line obit. Towler- In this city, on Wednesday, August 13, 1885, Archie W., youngest child of Mr.And Mrs. C.A. Towler, aged 10 months.
born 12 October 1884 Council Grove Kansas
died 13 August 1885 Council Grove Kansas
both of persons on find-a-grave are Archie
