I LIVE IN CENTRAL ILLINOIS & HAVE BEEN DOING FAMILY GENEALOGY FOR SEVERAL YEARS. |
I ENJOY TAKING PHOTOS OF HEADSTONES FOR OTHER FAMILIES WHICH ARE TOO FAR AWAY TO VISIT THE CEMETERY.
I ADD THE NEWSPAPER OBITUARY (WHEN POSSIBLE), WHICH IS A HELPFUL TOOL FOR FAMILIES WANTING INFORMATION ON A RELATIVE. BEFORE ADDING MY INFORMATION, I CHECK FIND A GRAVE VERY CAREFULLY AS NOT TO HAVE A DOUBLE ENTRY.
GREAT WORK IS BEING DONE WITH FIND A GRAVE. MANY FAMILIES HAVE A CHANCE TO RECONNECT WITH THEIR ROOTS.
(2010-2012) I HAVE WALKED, TRANSCRIBED, & CREATED NEW CEMETERY REFERENCE BOOKS FOR THE MOULTRIE CO. GENEALOGICAL & HISTORICAL SOCIETY. CEMETERIES I HAVE TRANSCRIBED ARE: GREENHILL, MASONIC HOME, FRENCH, GRAHAM CHAPEL, & KELLER. OTHERS ARE ON MY LIST OF 'TO DO'.
I AM WILLING TO MAKE TRANSFERS WITHIN THE 4 GENERATION "FIND A GRAVE" GUIDELINES WHICH ARE: Spouses, Parents, Brothers and Sisters, Children, Grand-children, Grandparents, and Great-grandparents. Please use the "EDIT" tab to ask for EACH transfer. PLEASE STATE YOUR RELATIONSHIP TO THE DECEASED.
For EXTENDED FAMILY MEMBERS I will gladly make additions, corrections or links.
PLEASE USE the "EDIT" TAB on the upper right side of the memorial to send the information.

Part of what I have is this obituary from the South Bend Tribune March 4, 1962, of her brother Franklin Miller Clark. It mentions his sister is Mrs. Earl Wollen in Chicago.
Her half sister's (Pearl Clark Smith)obituary, South Bend Tribune November 30, 1938 shows her sister Marie as Mrs. Marie Peel of Berea,KY.
" MRS. WILLIAM CHASE SMITH
Mrs. William Chase Smith, aged 65, of 814 South Cinton street, died at 1 a.m. today in her residence after three months illness. She was born in Niles, Mich., Aug. 15, 1873, and came here 25 years ago from Granger, this county. She was married in Niles in 1891 to William Chase Smith, who survives. She leaves also a granddaughter, Nadine Draper, Los Angeles, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Woodworth, Peoria, Ill.; Mrs. Florence Miller, Benton Harbor, Mich.; and Mrs. Marie Peel, Berea, Ky.; and four brothers, John Clark, Dowagiac, Mich.; Harry Clark, Blue Island, Ill.; Clarence Clark, Jackson, Mich.; and Frank Clark, Brooklyn, N.Y. Thanks for taking the photo of his grave, much appreciated. Jim
|Pattie Ford||Francis Dolan|
Please don't worry abt Francis being there, it is not a big deal. I know you took a photo of his wife, Sophia and I appreciate it so much. I will just pull my request and I will mark his memorial with no marker, so no one request a photo of it again.
