|Colby Kingery||RE: John R Kingery transferred|
If you could, send me the info on the file or how to find it as it would be very much appreciated. I know my 3rd great grandfather went to the infirmary and as he was walking by a horse and carriage ran him over during the civil war.
PS: Thank you for the transfer.

Thank you Janet for the information about the conditions at Resaca. You have a very complete description. I appreciate the information. And from it, it appears death was at the battlefield tent. Again, thank you. Janet

Janet, I have all of my newer info noted by source but not all of my older material. I have not worked with my Barlett family recently until I went on line over the weekend trying once again to find where George was buried. I looked briefly for an original document when I saw you had not made the change in place of death but didn't find it. George died two days after his wounds at Resaca. I meant to looked at the distance between Resaca and Dalton, but haven't done that yet. I think I sent for and have George's pension file and service record. I'll continue to look for documentation. I was glad to find the memorial you had posted and to connect George with his family. Janet
|KLLawrence||RE: J H Blein photo|
There was one large monument which was weathered and hard to read. It appeared to have inscription on three sides. The front panel that had 'BLEAN' at the bottom of the base had inscription but was not readable, panel 2 had James H. Blean's info, panel 3 had infant daughter's info. It did not appear that panel 4 had inscriptions. I used as a reference info from "Whiteside County Cemeteries" by Daughters of American Revolution, Morrison Il chapter pub 1959 it has Kingsbury Cemetery burial listings for Bleans on page 39: 1)Blean, James H.-2nd Lt. of Co. B-75 Reg Ill Vol. -killed on the battlefield of Perryville, KY. -Oct 8, 1862 a 35 yrs. 2 mo. 16 d. 2)Blean, Hettie, wife of James D., May 30, 1913-a 85 yrs. 3)Blean, infant dau of James & Hettie J. (and from the monument it said died on the 9th Day of Dec 1852 aged 20 Ds. - I made memorial #137083021 for her). One could assume at least Hettie and infant dau could be buried here and who knows about James??? I don't know if the project done by DAR in 1959 was just a headstone reading, or if they obtained sexton records...

Hi Janet: I do apologize, it is Duncan. Must have been time to take a break. Many thanks for the correction.

|Memory Keeper2||Joseph McDowell|
I tried to locate Joseph McDowell's memorial stone in section D, but did not find it. I had not noticed your additional comment before I went to the cemetery. The stones I saw had numbers in the 12,000s. The next time I am at the cemetery I will look in section D for 12300 and take a photo of the stone if I find it.
It would be good if the listing could be corrected both with CHA and the VA locator.

Thanks for steering me in the direction of Fold3 to find grandmothers widow pension file. I had not looked there surprisingly. Find A Grave 10954194

Thank you for catching my error. The veteran in Section J is Robert Hanna and Nathaniel in Section B is now corrected with unit data.
|Jean||John Peter Selzer|
I had created a non-cemetery burial listing for my GGUncle # 45786586 John Peter Selzer who was killed at the battle of Peachtree Creek. I had contacted the Veteran's Affair in Canton and sent documentation to get the marker information changed. I found your listing # 29958409 for John Peter Selzer and wondered how we can merge the information. Thanks.
