1. Edits and other changes.
I am usually delighted to process your edits or suggested corrections. However I will neither do your data entry nor edit your spelling and punctuation. If information can be entered in specific fields, you will need to do that through the new edit system and I will accept or decline it. Other suggested changes such as biographies or requests for transfers will be honored via the "Suggest any other correction or addition" which sends me an Email with a link to the page and to you. I might fact check your information through resources available to me.
I will transfer any memorial I have created on request except those for
a. my own ancestors or in my virtual cemeteries.
b. Nor will I transfer to anyone who is listed as "Anonymous" and has a blank profile. It is difficult to trust someone who is so concealed.
c. Nor will I transfer to the terminally rude unless you document the four generation proximity of relationship required by the FAQ.
I give explicit permission to copy and use any photo I have taken and posted on Find a Grave for your own genealogical purposes. No need to ask.
I am a retired Episcopal priest who has done genealogical work for her own family since 1990. I used to serve as a Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness volunteer for Cottonwood County before that site closed. I'm still willing to do lookups. This is easy to do, as I live within a mile of the Courthouse and Historical Society. Or you can contact the Historical Society at firstname.lastname@example.org. They charge $10. per hour plus copying for research.
I am nearly done doing whole small cemeteries in Cottonwood County, Minnesota. The five of us working on that have finished all but the two city cemeteries. If I have been able to post a photo on the front page of a cemetery in CC you will find my status notes in the caption. [Feb 2013] Working on Mountain Lake from photos & register and Lakeview from a list. I am also working on comprehensive postings for columbaria in Minnesota Episcopal churches.
My daughter thought graving was a waste of time but I pointed out that it gets me out for a walk up and down "rows" in the cemetery. And a friend of hers pointed out that considering all the recent zombie movies it's good to remember this: It is far better to be looking for dead people than to have dead people looking for you! Enjoy!

So sorry for the delay in response to you. I needed to get to my Mac to see if I had indeed spelled Emmily correctly. According to the Minnesota Death Index, her middle name is indeed Emmily with two m's. Thank you so much for checking and for being so generous with your time in making edits.

After having lost my computer, I have been trying to put things back together. I lost access to my e-mail for a while, but am trying to get everything back up and going. Sorry about that.
|Debbie (Turner) Stanley Hall||RE: Nelder Peterson in Butterfield|
yes Nelder his family is buried at Hoiland cem, in Tracy, Lyon co. that's why I wonder why he was in Butterfield cem, but now no markers but I ordered the cemetery records in 2010 for Hoiland and he and his wife were not listed in the listing and now we are back to square one of where they are really buried at.
|Mike Wichelman||RE: 139119928 Valborg Slaalien|
It is entirely possible that Viola could be the "Americanized" version of the Norwegian name Valborg but I am not 100% sure on that.
As far as family goes Valborg was the sister of my great grand uncles wife Edna Slaalien, my great grand uncle was John Milton Nelson. She was also number 11 of 11 children born to Hans Erikson Slaalien and Ronnaug Tjostolvson.
That's about all I have for her specifically, I do have an ancestry tree on ancestry.com or I could email a GEDCOM file to you also.

Charles E & Susan Zea have a Marker. I will wait for you to post the page.
|Charles Zea||RE: wrong ID|
Thank you for your response. It is understandable as to what happened.
One other issue is that my grandparents, Charles E. and Susan (Laub) Zea do not appear on the grave register.
Their graves are located on the same lot as my father and mother, Raymond C. & Mary Zea

You have a Curtis Zea listed at the Butterfield cemetery. I know for a fact the is no Curtis Zea buried there.
