Today we walked where others walked
On a lonely, windswept hill;
Today we talked where others cried
For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.
Today our hearts were touched
By graves of tiny babies;
Snatched from the arms of loving kin,
In the heartbreak of the ages.
Today we saw where the grandparents lay
In the last sleep of their time;
Lying under the trees and clouds -
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.
Today we wondered about an unmarked spot;
Who lies beneath this hallowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.
Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay.
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget,
But will remember forever more.
Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.
Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust.

Edith Meyer
Is Edith Meyer ʻohana to you? If so, I would be glad to transfer management of her memorial page to you... I took and entered a bunch of pages and photos at that cemetery... let me know...

Kamanu ʻOhana
Hi Leilani,

Just posted pages for 4 more of your ʻohana and transferred to you... no marker on Janeʻs grave but you can see by the ground that it is definitely a grave site. And the flower looks very deliberately placed. I donʻt have the exact plot location for Charles P Jr, Elsie Leilani, Harvey or Eunice... the cemetery # is 808-233-4400 if you want to get the specifics.

Hope you are having a good summer... it has been hot & humid here... more like September or October! E malama pono...

Nolan Family
Thank you for posting this photo request. My grandparents were good friends with the Nolan's and I have many fond memories of them coming to my grandparent's home during hunting season. Mr Nolan would bring his cigarette rolling machine and I would stand by his side watching him roll them. We would also go visit them in Fairbanks between hunting seasons.

Parker & Waipa graves
Aloha hou! Wanted to clean up the photos on my laptop (I store all photos on an external hard drive), so I made pages for the folks I listed in my previous message and transferred them all to you! Also, will send a photo of the row of Parker graves in Laie Cemetery. The old part of the cemetery is across a bridge and is much small than the newer section. I indicated that David, Wilder & Estrella are in the Old Cemetery... all the others are in the newer.

Have some major hula stuff on my plate right now so donʻt know when I will get out again... but I will watch for your requests... e malama pono...

Parker & Waipa graves
Aloha kakahiaka e Leilani!

As you can see, I traveled up to Laie yesterday to fulfill some requests... also photographed some other Parker & Waipa graves... since those were the names of your photo requests Iʻm thinking they are also relatives of yours? I donʻt see pages for any of them... if they are yours let me know and I will post pages, add the pictures and transfer them to you...
They are:
David Nalani Parker
Wilder Parker
Estrella Parker Hottendorf
These 3 are in the old cemetery.
Stephen Parker Waipa
Mary Kalama Parker Waipa
Samson P.N. Parker Sr
Mary Choy Parker
The above 4 are in a row with the 4 Parkers you requested (Arthur Sr, Eva, Arthur Jr & Hazel) and I took a photo of that row of graves.

Look forward to hearing from you...
