I live just south of Smithton, Pennsylvania and I've been an avid genealogist for a lot of years. I've come to learn that so much can be obtained from the headstones of ancestors and the stories that can be discovered are endless.

Please feel free to use any headstone photo that I have photographed.

Currently researching ADAMS, BROWN, GRAHAM, FURLONG, LIGHT and LONG (as well as numerous other sides). It's become a hobby my wife wishes I'd grow out of.

Fairview Cemetery
Thank you for accepting my updates at Fairview Cemetery. My great grand parents are buried there. They do not have a marker. I am finding that MANY family members are also there. I was in Pa in May and visited just to see the place again. I lived in Rowes Run until 1962, but get back to Pa a couple of times are year. Usually just to Lafayette cemetery. Thanks for all your pictures too.

I don't have any picture requests available right
or I would request a tombstone picture of the grave of your Besty and the rest of the Putmans in that lot.

I suggestion you make the picture requests for both of us.

After the pictures are all in, I will be happy to transfer the Putnam that I have to you.

Her death certificate with her parents' name on it says that she was born in 1901 and died in 1923. How could the tombstone be so far off?

Sorry About that Harry I thought I sent that correction to the other memorial. The guy Uploaded photos through the new beta system and completely screwed up Monongahela and St. Mary's again and so far has refused to delete any of his duplicates. It took me 2 years to get people to move the mixed up memorials out of Monongahela and into St. Mary's and now I am back to square with them. I have 31,000+ photos for Monongahela I don't think I will ever be able to get them up, because if I have a photo for one that belongs in St. Mary's I will not add it as long as the memorial is in Monongahela.

It always is so nice to have blanket permission on headstone photos. I noticed the Adams interest. Any relation to Braintree clan?

RE: Reeves
Thank you Harry. I really appreciate you taking the photos. I had not seen them prior to your posting. I will be in Pennsylvania in July and hope to make a trip over to view the tombstone for myself. Regards, Stephen

Thank you Harry for posting the tombstone of Abner Reeves and his wife Hannah (Barnes) Reeves. Both tombstones are beautiful. I wonder if these were the original tombstones or created years later by maybe their children Elizabeth (Reeves) Baird or Samuel Reeves. Are you related to this family?
