I am documenting the burial places of the Shawnee Indian Bluejacket family. The first identified male member is Chief Blue Jacket, born in the Pennsylvania area about 1743, and died in Sandwich, Ontario, Canada about 1808. I am a descendant of his grandson Charles Bluejacket and Julia Ann Daugherty. They settled in Oklahoma, from Kansas and the town of Bluejacket is named for this family.|
Several Bluejacket descendants have been doing genealogical research on this family and it is well documented. I am focusing on grave sites. I would appreciate any information any one has or comes across. When I find a grave site already on graveyard that I have information for, I will forward it and hope that it can be added. If you are a closer family member to the person than I and would like to have the Memorial, just let me know, and I will happily transfer it to you.

Thank you so much, I was born and raised in the area and have heard of the family all my life. Also we would walk out to the family cemetery. Sadly it's under water most of the time.
Also, I'm a 4th great granddaughter of Elizabeth 'Daugherty' Chambers. She is my Cherokee lineage. Elizabeth was the wife of James Chambers.

You are correct. There is no stone. I wrote a caption under the photo that listed who was in the plot and the fact that there was no stone for William. I hate to disappoint, but I walked several rows either side and still nothing.
No wonder I couldn't find a memorial for him, the first name I had was a nickname. Mine has been deleted! Thank you for letting me know about this.

Hello again Linda,
First of all thank you for the kind words you left for me.
I have linked:
1858 John Gruen # 148699390
1861 Jacob Gruen # 148698867
1864 Georg Gruen # 148700023
to their father;
1832 Georg Gruen # 148698733
What I have been unable to do is find a wife/mother. She must have remarried considering she was still young enough to bear children.
I want to learn if these three boys had siblings or not.
Still working on the mystery.
Thanks for your support.

BTW, still working on the other 4...they are a different family.

I am searching for John W. Corn that served as the Superintendant of Schools for St.. Clair County, Mo. from 1867-68. Is there any possibility this is the one?

I've sent you a message via the duplicate memorial's SAC to let you know which one is a duplicate. No worries, I've done it myself.
|Donna Schauss||RE: Correction re William Henry|
No problem. I send info as I see it but I don't "keep track". Except to put the copy in an email file so I can see what I wrote & follow up some day.
