I will gladly transfer any memorial that is not in my family tree, so the memorial can be managed by a family member.

|Jim Sindberg||Thanks for the candle|
You left a candle burning at the memorial site of James Christensen Sindberg. James is my grandfather and I am named after him. Here is a bit of his history. James was christened Jens in Denmark. James's father is Andrew Christensen Sindberg. Andrew's christened name is Anders Christen Christensen, not Sindberg. Andrew's father, Christen Christensen, died young when Andrew is only four. His mother remarried to Christen Sindberg. It is said that Andrew loved his stepfather and that is why when Andrew had children, he named them Sindberg. When Andrew and wife and children came to USA they were registered with the Danish emigration all as Christensens. But once in USA they chose to become Sindbergs. Anders became Andrew. Jens became James.
I lived 12 years in Europe including two in Denmark. I've seen the Danish church records.
My question to you is "why did you put a candle on my grandfather's memorial page?" Are you a relative?

|Glaub||RE: Maria Glaub Mueller|
I believe Nicolaus Glaub was a German living in Hungary. There were Glaubs, Catholic and Jewish, in Hungary since they moved there from Bavaria in the 1700s along with thousands of other Bavarians. I met someone who descends from the Hungarian branch. Email me and I'll explain more about his branch.
