RE: William Jacobs
You are very welcome. If I ever drive by and see it decorated appropriately, will take another.

Memorial# 142337885

Please note the edits that I added to this Memorial. I so appreciate your information, and would like to modify the post to recognize your credentials appropriately--please let me know how to change the listing.

I could not access the link, but I see you are a Civil War Re-enactor and President of the OVC Survivors' Organization. If you can get me the citation for the book, I will definitely read the details of his service, capture and release. This is incredible information.

I hope to visit Ohio one day and see this area where many ancestors lived and died.

Thank you.

RE: Cincinnatus Besse
It is possible. Do you have a memorial number or cemetery for me to review the memorial?

I am searching for information on Cincinnatus Besse who may have been born in Ohio and may have died in Missouri. 1824-1876 as possible lifespan.

Please share any information.

Found this but I am sure you have seen this yourself.

I am pretty sure I got the personal data of the family from... Ohio The Cross Road of Our Nation, Records & Pioneer Families.

I commend the work you are doing for our civil war vets-

I have looked for about 30 minutes, I forgot he committed suicide so I may have to look in a different folder.
I will get back to you tomorrow-

RE: Charles H Mottier
No, no relation. Are you related? Do you want the memorial transferred?

RE: Charles H Mottier
Hi Bill,
No, I'm not related to Charles. My main focus now is on making memorials for all Military Veterans who don't already have one and are from my home town of North East or Erie County.

Hope you are keeping warm & safe. ^_^

Cheers, Rich

RE: Joseph Feldcamp

Wow, just Wow! I have been look for an organization such as yours. Yes, Joseph Feldkamp is the brother of George Feldkamp and, I suspect, the brother-in-law of Bernard Helms (which I have not proved as of yet, although I know that Joseph's wife Mary Helms had a brother Bernard).

Unfortunately I do not have pictures. My uncles do remember a picture of a man in cavalry uniform on horseback that they believe was their father, Harry Feldkamp - Joseph's son. However, Harry was never in the cavalry and was born after the Civil War. therefore, I believe that this was a picture of Joseph. Unfortunately, there was a fire in the family homestead and most of any pictures or memoribilia were destroyed. Perhaps I will make a concerted effort to contact other descendants of Joseph to see if they have a photo.

On the other hand, my mother and I traveled to the National Archives a couple of years ago. We were able to access Joseph's pension records which are quite detailed.

I do know where Joseph's grave is - but there is no headstone. I have debated on obtaining one from the Bureau of Veteran's Affairs. but the cemetery association charges $267 one time fee to set it.

I will peruse your website and join. I am very interested in a reunion and the newsletter. I was seriously considering a trip to Selma, AL in April on the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Selma.
