You may use my photos for non-commercial genealogy use. Credit as the person who provided the photo would be appreciated. This includes the few paintings I have included.
I appreciate all work done by FAG volunteers and I want to thank YOU ALL for being so generous and kind while working with me.
I've now been entrusted with memorials at three cemeteries.
1. Shannon Rose Hill in Fort Worth, TX
2. Sturdivant Cemetery in Mineral Wells, TX - About 50 miles West of Fort Forth
3. Confederate Cemetery in Fayetteville, AR - In the NW corner of Arkansas
I am looking forward to helping in any way I can if you have friends and family in these cemeteries.
I read the bio's of everyone whose photos I use for my personal tree on Ancestry. If I have inadvertently used a photo that isn't available for sharing, I will remove it immediately. My intent is to make my tree as interesting and full as possible, not to misuse someone else's property. I label every photo I use with the contributors name.

Thanks. I appreciate the thought you put into it. This family has been our most obstinate brick wall.

Thanks for the quick turn around on the parents of Virginia Tennessee McDaniel Yell.

Could you please change something on this memorial? This is my great grandmother and I contributed most of the information on it. I had you put what we knew about her parents from her death certificate. However, we have since found it to be incorrect. Her father was Benjamin Franklin McDaniel/McDonald and her mother was Rebecca, maiden name unknown. Thanks for your trouble.

It was just brought to my attention that I had made a duplicate of this, 130043632. I guess the ? kept it from showing up properly when I searched.
I've sent some relationship & name edits, etc. under your edit tab so I can delete my memorial.
Sorry for the confusion.

Hi, I am Larry Kriv. My wife is a niece of Lavalca Louellen Littlejohn James. I do not know if you are related, but, if not, could you transfer ownership of Find A Grave Memorial# 51874541 to me? I'm just keeping all of the family "together".

I dont mind having the information on her memorial page. If you wanted to transfer it to me thats ok too. This particular line is so complicated with many multiple marriages and children scattered to several unions, its hard for me to try and explain it. It took me several days just to try to write the biography on my dads page lol. Its easier to write, I think, since I have research going back 40 yrs. Im always learning new things, a prime example was finding your posting today. It opened up a new door that I had not previously opened.
I agree that the story of Mattie getting her widows pension is tremendously interesting. Many years ago, one of the Kennemer 'cousins' sent me a copy of a newspaper article from where she lived in Calif at the time it happened. I cant remember who sent it to me and cant find the photocopy she sent. Im still looking and these days there are so many newspapers who have shut down, I might never get another copy. Im in the process of trying to find a researcher at the state library to try and find the original article, I havent given up hope.
Thanks again for all you do! Whenever you can, feel free to do whats needed to transfer Matties memorial.

After I sent this message, it bugged me so much that I had to start on a different path of research. It turns out Nathan is one of Mattie Bechtolds great grandsons. They died close together in time and Im guessing its a family type plot. Nathans father is buried there as is his mother who was divorced and remarried to a different man. Its confusing but at least I now know the connection. I find it odd that they share a stone especially since Mattie had her own small stone. I guess it was easier than getting Nathan a single stone.
I very much appreciate your work and fast reply. Side note for Mattie. She filed for and was granted a surviving widows pension for the Civil War. She was the widow of my g-g-grandfather J. L. McRight who fought in the Civil War and drew a pension. However, Mattie filed for her widows pension in early 1971 and when it was granted, she drew a small amount, despite her having remarried several times after his death. J.L. died in 1915, so it means she drew a pension for the Civil War more than 100 yrs after the end of the war and more than 50 yrs after her husbands death.
Mattie lived to the age of almost 100. She was living with one of her 3 daughters by J. L. and she was destitute so her pension request was granted.

I am trying to find a connection between these 2 people. Your new photo is something Ive not seen until now and I do research on Mattie often. If you know of a connection, please share.
