Bio and Links
Bio Photo I first became interested in genealogy when my grandmother, Rubye Mae Steele Brooks began to research the family tree and told me about the interesting things she was finding. This was before the internet, so she was doing a lot of travelling and letter writing. I started gathering stories from my other grandparents and eventually started seriously researching. My brother, Randy, (RTB) told me about Find A Grave and it was a beautiful extension of my genealogy research. I have come across others with a lot more information than I have and am grateful for all the people out there who are willing to put info and pictures from all the graveyards and memorial gardens around the country. Thank you all.
If you would like to take ownership of any memorial I have submitted, just let me know. I have added many memorials just based on the fact that I have relatives in the same cemetery. I am pleased when I am contacted by someone who knew of or cared for a person for whom I have established a memorial. I hope they all are found by someone who cares. I will transfer them gladly if I am not related.
Take care,
Sherry Perry
I stole the following from Gennaphyr, but I wholeheartedly agree!
I grant anyone the right to use my photos for any purpose, without any conditions. As the copyright holder of my photos, I release them into the public domain.
However, if you don't see my name under the photo then that photo does not belong to me and you will need to contact that individual Find a Grave member for permission to use their photo.
You don't need to kiss my foot for a transfer. I love being able to transfer memorials I have created to family and friends (to me that is a Find A Grave success story)
Still active 2015.

Lewis and Rebecca Terrell, Dresden, TN
Dear Sherry,
Thank you for what you have done, and apparently are continuing to do. Lewis Terrell was my mother's uncle, a brother to her mother.
I attended the funeral and burial of Uncle Lewis. I was about 13 y.o. at the time. A few years ago I was back in Weakley County and went looking for his grave, but I could not find it. Not having a cemetery name, I thought it was behind, or very close to the Presbyterian Church located just SE of the Weakley County Court House. Thanks to you, now I know the year of his death and that of Aunt Becky too.
My Mother, Blanche Oliver Edwards, had in her family photo album a small photo, less than 2" square, of a friend Ruby Steele, most likely your grandmother. From my grandfather's house I remember I could see in wintertime the house roofs of Herbert Steele and cousin Pete Oliver.

RE: Wright and Moor
Thanks for your reply, Sherry. No, I was only curious whether Lucinda is buried beside her first husband, William Wright, in the Metamora Cemetery. It is difficult to determine this from the two photos of the individual stones.

Lucinda Moor
Hi, Sherry,

I cannot tell from the photographs but am wondering whether the stones for Lucinda Moor and Rev. William Wright are side by side in this cemetery? They were husband and wife; William died first then Lucinda remarried, to Anson Moor. Did you know William and Lucinda were uncle and aunt of the famous Wright Brothers?

Sherry, George Hite Memorial #40434805 that you created is my great-great-greatgrandfather. I didn't know there was already a memorial and picture of his grave was already created. I created one also. I would like to delete mine. I am wondering if you are not related to George Hite would you consider transferring the memorial to me. My number is 48093763. Thank you
