Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was named for a (distant) relative, Jessie Ohl Darrow of Ohio (first wife of Clarence Darrow). My grandmother, Jessie Darrow Davis of Pennsylvania, highly disapproved of Clarence.

I have been tracing my family tree since 1980 and am currently researching my Affelder and Zugsmith relatives, with a focus on Germany, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New York. As a sideline, I try to input memorials for Jewish cemeteries and individuals in Chicago and elsewhere.

My Findagrave image is a photo of my father's headstone in Chesterton, Indiana. He was a radio engineer, a telegrapher and ham radio enthusiast. The face on the memorial bears a slight resemblance to him, but the gargoyle figure and pyramid topper are both a whimsy of the talented sculptor who created the monument.

When asking for corrections or transfers, please request thru the memorial link. When requesting a transfer, your FAG number would be appreciated. Give me a few days to a month to comply or reply.

RE: Van McKenzie
I certainly don't mind. Not sure about Sandy "Johnson" Roth & don't know how to get ahold of her. Maybe write that she contributed the pic.? Which is what I did. Photos are for sharing as far as I am concerned. Cheryl

ainsworth in Chautauaqua County
Several years ago I corresponded with Marjorie Murfin of Grove City, OH, who, after considerable research, believed that Hiram Ainsworth ( husband of Julia Hayner) was the son of Eleazer Ainsworth & Hannah Searles. Eleazer Ainsworth was the son of Joseph Ainsworth and Rebecca Allard. Joseph Ainsworth was the son of Edward Ainsworth and Joanna Hemingway.
Apparently there were two Hiram Ainsworths living at about the same time, one b. 1806 and died in Spartansburg, PA in 1889; the other born 1803/05 in Claremont, NH, married to Marie Louise Chamberlain and died in Jefferson County Iowa in 1885.
Have you run across any of her research?
