Mattie Gamble / John W Fussell
Hi Donna

It has been a bit since I have worked in my Florida database but when I went to make the requested updates on Martha Gamble I noticed you had her dau Mattie md to John Wesley Fussell s/o James C and Sarah (Parker) Fussell. My information show that James C (James Carlton) md 1 Mary Condrey (1855) 2 Mattie C (1896) and 3 Georgia Ann RObertson (1908). I am assuming the Mattie C is Mattie C Gamble.

Just a note
Hey Donna, there are TONS of McPherson families here. My any chance are you/your husband related to the Alabama McPherson clan? Check out Arkadelphia Cemetery in Jefferson County, AL and see if any of these are your family.

I am about to be a grandma any day now, so I may not be quick to answer for a while. I really appreciate all the work you have done and so willingly shared with everyone. Thanks so much!

I've got four Townsends in Ellzey cemetery; if these are your people, would you like to manage them? Just send a quick reply and I'll transfer them to you.

Margaret McNeill McMillan
I'm writing about the above referenced individual, memorial # 132932902.

You have the following written about Margaret:

"Archibald Gar McNeill
Birth 3 Mar 1760 in Cumberland, Cumberland, North Carolina, United States
Death 26 Sep 1834 in Moore, Bladen, North Carolina, United States

Margaret Unknown McNeill
Birth 1720 in Scotland
Death 1779"

Did you mean that these individuals were her parents? If so, the mother could be right, but the father, Archibald, may not have his dates entered correctly here as his DOB and DOD are later than Margaret's.

I've been looking for Margaret McNeill McMillan's parents for a long so was intrigued by what you wrote.

I think the problem was that my husband was in a big hurry to get home after a drive from Key Largo -heading to Birmingham, and I got him to go 2 hours out of the way to find this cemetery. I wanted to list all graves, but was not given time. So I got all the Gornto graves I could see and left. Juanita Langston lives closer by and in 2006, she surveyed the rest of the cemetery, and added the duplicates she did not see that I had done. Then Buddy came along, searching for his family and re-entered them in 2009!

I would be more upset if I had done all the graves and someone re-entered all. I can understand Juanita's duplicates since she did them all, but Buddy is another story - adding just the Gornto graves 5 years later seems a bit odd.

Ah, well....

Perhaps others will pick up tid-bits from ALL the entries! (As for me, I try my best to check to make sure the person is not listed. If they are, and I have more info, I send it in an edit, or add it in a flower offering if I get no response.

Glad to hear from you!
