Thank you for following FindAGrave procedures.

Contributor Connie posted this. I thought it was such a great idea I posted it to my page! Thanks, Connie!

Find a Grave has implemented a new way to submit Edits! Unfortunately, there are far too many members for Find a Grave to notify everyone via email, so it's up to us to get the word out. If every member posts this message (or similar) in their profile, hopefully we can help spread the word.

To suggest a correction (SAC) click on the edit tab of the memorial that needs to be corrected. Then click on the link which best describes where your edit should occur. Enter your correction, when you're done, click submit edit. Your request will be sent to the manager of the memorial and will appear in the managers' profile under the Edits tab.

Managers will no longer receive emails. They must go directly to their profile page and click on the Edits tab. Managers can approve, deny or ignore, suggested corrections. It's quick and easy!

The exception:
Requesting a transfer other corrections are still handled the same way. Click on "suggest any other correction or addition," type your message and press "send this message." The manager of the memorial will receive an email.

===============================

Please ask permission before posting my personal family photographs, photographs I have taken of grave stones or biographical material I have written from my memorial pages on this site to Ancestry.com or any other website or personal webpages.

Please see FindAGrave Frequently Asked questions for more information:

How do I get a relative's memorial transferred to me?
First, Determine if you really need the memorial transferred to you for management. Transferring of management should only be requested If you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. You can add photos and suggest corrections without having to request management. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request. With hundreds of thousands of contributors, we have many overlapping family trees and it would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire tree.

Regarding edits for Thomas Fayette Miller
Thanks for the suggestions. I gladly incorporate additional information in memorials, if reliable sources are provided. Entirely too often I’m finding that changes submitted through F/G’s 'automated' suggestion system are inaccurate. Therefore I now ask that each correction/suggestion be submitted separately, with evidence supporting the proposed change. Undocumented edits are declined after two days.

Thanks for the update. I can't believe I overlooked the original memorial.

RE: Mary Virginia "Jennie" Foley
Thank you so much for the update. I would love to know who is interested enough in her to obtain the baptism record? Would it be the same person who posted the photos? I was also very surprised to see the photos. When I went to the cemetery there was a very strict policy of no cameras or photographs allowed. The reason specified was because there are a lot of stones and inscriptions that were patent-protected. Has their policy changed?

RE: Roy Fillmore Ash
I just have no connection to this person, that is why I ask about transfer. If you have contact with anyone who is family for him, tell them to ask for memorial, I will be glad to transfer.

You nailed it! As you prob already know, the Holbrook's came to Weymouth in 1635 with Rev Hull's company... well last year, they did a thing at Tuft's library on the "extinct" family Drake, and added the Holbrook's in because the family started with Jane Holbrook and Thomas Drake. But I am running into descendants of John Holbrook, mostly New York and Connecticut early on. They haven't been easy to trace. But I also noticed, like my family Drake, more girl babies than boy babies. And I'm seeing this with the Theodore Lewis Holbrook family as well. The Holbrook's and Drake's are not extinct, but they are getting there.

I was wondering why he wasn't re-interred with everybody else. I bet Kate is with him, and hopefully so, she does not have a death record unless she died at Syracuse, New York. Thanks for the heads up, I have something to work with now. Jacki

I have looked through files at the historical society and there is no correspondence or other information that would lend any information as to why he left school and went to West Point

Eleanor Blake
I know about that memorial (5048952) however Robert Blake is deceased so I had to make a new one in order to link of the family and add information to it. I asked Find A Grave for the memorial but it wasn't given to me.
Robert also had some family members buried in the wrong cemetery so I had to create new ones for them.
