Marion Sumter Foster, Oak Hill Cemetery

You added a note:

"First name Marion. Served in Union Army in the Civil War.
- James Henkel
Added: Jul. 17, 2012"

All the records we have show him in the CSA not Union.

William H Milligan obit
Thank you so very much for posting the obituary of William H Milligan on his memorial, Find A Grave Memorial# 3735501. I just noticed it.

Did you find it on-line? I'm trying to find his two brothers, John & Harvey. John disappears after 1900 and Harvey died sometime between 1900 & 1904 possibly in San Bernardino. From the obit, it looks like Harvey (Harry in the obit) may have died after William.

Thanks again,

RE: Edith R. Stites
thanks! ... that helps

if you have Stites in your tree ... it appears that according to Jacob's 1850 US Census, he is a neighboring farmer to his sister Edith who married Wm Stites

Diana Dooley
Photo of Samuel H Foles
Hello James,
My name is Diana and I am a Civil War re-enactor in the 19th Indiana Light Artillery. We are trying to locate all of the original members so they will be remembered.

I put in a request for a photo of Samuel H Foles headstone. I received a reply that Woodlawn Cemetery had no record of him & my request was removed. Any assistance or additional information you may have to help in getting a photo will be greatly appreciated.

I thank you in advance,

Diana Lee Dooley
