Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.|
~Henry David Thoreau
I was drawn to FAG after loosing a dear friend in a tragic car accident, as well as my only sister suffering a brain injury in a car accident on her way to school--she was a passenger, along with another beloved friend who passed away in the accident. That day changed so many lives forever!
I grew up in a small fishing community in N.C., moved away at 17 and served in the USAF Desert Storm. I've always enjoyed walking through cemeteries...wondering what each person might have been like in their lifetime. You'll find my "Pappy", beloved father-in-law and mother-in-law and our respective families among the many memorials I've added to FAG; thanks to each of you who take the time remember them! Also, thank you for stopping to leave flowers for our dear family and friends we've lost, to include our beloved family friend, Christopher Johnson, who lost his battle with leukemia and the many dear young friends whose earthly bodies rest near him.
If you have a question about a memorial I have added, or would like a transfer, please email me. I will do all I can to help. I do my best to honor and lovingly remember those who I memorialize. Always happy to transfer your family and friends. :)
I have many memorials on this site that have no exact location of their graves, (my great grandfather Riley Thomas Lewis is one), but sadly, as many genealogist know, many states, to include North Carolina vital records (births/deaths), were not kept on a statewide basis before October 1913. Therefore, the location of many graves were lost as family members who did know the locations have died. Also, there are many cemeteries with the same names and no accurate documentation of individuals buried there. It actually took me ten years to locate my Dad's cousins who were buried in the "Philyaw Family Cemetery" in Comfort, N.C. because there are 4 such named cemeteries on the same highway.
I am always happy and grateful to merge memorials if you do locate an actual burial location of a family member or friend.
Thanks for all of you have helped on my quest to remember those who we strive to keep their memory and stories alive!

Are you researching the Frisch family from Philadelphia?
I'm trying to find the Frisch that married a Falzarano.
Is there a record of that marriage in your notes?

I have found several people you have in a Maple Hill cemetery that are actually in a cemetery on High Hill Rd in Verona.
Is there any way you could combine your memorials with the ones I created in the Fisher Family Cemetery on High Hill Rd? It would help people who are looking for the cemeteries. I, myself went out to Maple Hill looking for your entries before I found then on High Hill Rd.
Thank you for your consideration of this matter.

Hi! Yes there is someone that will be buried with/next to him, but due to there being no date of death I am assuming this person is still alive. Due to this I did not want to post that person's info for privacy reasons. I hope you understand :)

It was my pleasure. He is family and we will mourn his loss for years to come. Michael Jackson's hit recording of the song, Gone Too Soon, just keeps playing over and over in my mind. Thank you for your contribution to the memorial also.

What a special blessing you are for all that you have done to enable visitation and memories. Both my daughter (Brittney Nichole Wasinger)and step-daughter (Courtney Elizabeth Stroud) occupy a presence here and for this I am so thankful.

Can you tell me where the Potts Family Cemetery is located in Monroe County?
My daughter's paternal G-G-Grandparents are buried there and thought she should know where to locate them.
