I have been researching my family tree since 1997. The main surnames that I am related to are: Wolbert, Wolberd, Schippers, Lohman, Butz, Damme, Hays, Roethemeyer and Carr.|
I will never request ownership of a memorial from someone unless I am related to the person in the memorial. I do have a few memorials though that I have built from abandoned pioneer cemeteries in Otoe County. If you are related to any one of the people that are buried in these cemeteries, PLEASE contact me and I will gladly give you ownership of the memorial.
I am not concerned as to whether or not these people are your mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, etc. That is a "guideline" that Find-A-Grave came up with to help guide people, it's not a law. I'd rather have a relative maintain the memorial, as that's what Find-A-Grave is all about; helping people connect with their deceased relatives, and helping them recognize their relatives' accomplishments. It's not about "owning" memorials.
Find-A-Grave is an excellent tool for genealogical researchers, so please link people to their family members whenever possible. Thank to all who contribute to this site!

You're very welcome. I'm glad I could help.

I have not found Enos Fox yet & been over the cemetery. I do have more photos yet to process. There are several worn smooth, unreadable gravestones and some that I might could get info from doing a rubbing. I will try to locate a cemetery map. Once found, do you know how/if others are identifying old, worn stones?

You are very welcome, I enjoy doing it.
|Julie Rasmussen||Nora Fox|
There is a grave with an infant Nora Fox who was born & died in 1886. The memorial has the name "Norma" rather than Nora. This is in the Viola Center Cemetery, Audubon Co., IA. Thanks.

Thank you for the work you do for Find A Grave.
May I copy your picture of the Hopewell Presbyterian Cemetery?

My ancestor is Sarah E. Hatfield Carr, and all I had of her was a picture of her in her older years and a cemetery picture. Thanks to you I now have one of her when she was younger with her husband William. Thank you so much!
