Even though they are in a different place, they are still a part of our lives, let us not forget the ones who have gone before us.

New Hoy Family Member: I would Love for you to Visit my new memorial for John "Doc" Hoy and leave a floral tribute. I found his very sad story in an Omaha Newspaper from April 1899. I have no idea what Hoy family he actually belongs to, but have adopted him to mine, nevertheless.

I never thought about a link. I will go ahed an remove the Corinth stone from his Sheridan site. Stop by if you have time in June. Thanks!
|Suzzy Thomas||Thomas Miller-Sheridan Cemetery|
Hi Kathy. I have been in contact with David Mayo. He took the photo of Thomas Miller's stone at Corinth National Cemetery. I thought it might be a good idea to put it on his Sheridan Cemetery page also, as he is truly actually buried at Corinth and the Sheridan stone is just a cenotaph. I am going to go ahead and put it on his page Mr. Mayo gave me permission to use the photo in any way that I would like. I hope this is ok If not, you can delete it. Hope to see you if you get back this way any time soon! Suzzy Thomas

Thank you for the photo you put on find a grave of my great aunt Orpha Ann Crabtree Hoy. She was my grandfather's favorite sister and I try to decorate her grave every year.

Thank you so much. I have deleted that photo.

I realized I put the wrong spouse with him. I can't find it in my list to delete it. If you would ignore that request for edit. I will get the right name with the right spouse!

Thanks Kathy, That clears things up and we can
explain things to the family members that were
inquiring about the information. By the way,
I'm the assistant sexton for the cemetery. If
you are ever back this way, give me a shout ahead
of time and we can meet up.
|Bill Posson||Johann Friedrich Alberts (Albers)|
Received a copy of said memorial from an apparent
family member. They visited with our cemetery
sexton last week and still insist you had found
the stone for the child. Your memorial showed
inscription: Aged: 1 Yr, 2 Mos, 15 Days.
That is correct according to the church records.
However, we have been unable to locate any stone.
Please advise if you did indeed find a stone
in the Church Cemetery (Emmanuel Lutheran).

I had claimed it but the claim expired.
|Keith Gee||Elmer Starks|
I had gone and looked and explained that I could not find a marker (looked both sides 4 times!) but never heard back from the requester. I'm glad you were able to locate Elmer.
