I retired from the Army of 21 years and I love to study and visit Civil / Revolutionary War Battlefields and visit the generals gravesites who served during those periods. Thanks to Find a Grave I am able to plan my trips accordingly. I also like helping those who cannot visit their family members in person by taking pictures for them in the area in which I live. If at any time someone is in disagreement with the pictures I have posted on a memorial page please let me know and I will remove them. Also if you have more information to post to a memorial I have created, send it to me and I'll add it or I'll transfer the memorial page. Photos taken by me for Find A Grave may be considered public domain and you are most welcome to use them.|

|ANGEL ROLLER||William S. Porter|
Thank you for taking the time to photograph the Headstone of William S. Porter. He was my step grandfather. I did not even know exactly where he had been buried at. This is awesome. I too take photographs here on Hatteras Island, North Carolina and try to clean up cemeteries that are in a disarray. If I can be of any assistance in this area please let me know. We have many military gravestones here. Some are loners that I have just stumbled across, others are with family plots.
|Dianna Taylor||Thank You !!!|
Mike, Thanks so much for the transfer of James G Shupe but mostly for making the memorial in the first place.

Thank you for the Trapp family memorials. My dad was Robert Lewis Trapp and he was named after the same members of the family as this Robert Lewis Trapp They were only a few months difference in their ages.

Dorsey Cole Rawlings is not buried in the Confederate Cemetery, but in the Fredericksburg Cemetery with his parents, James Rawlings and Alice (Cole) Rawlings.
Link # 72805585 posted by a Florence is the correct one.
Please delete the one you posted.....Thank you.
|Florence Barnick||Fredericksburg Cemetery veterans|
Hi Mike, I'm sending you a slew of emails so you'll have links to the memorials you've added in the Confederate Cemetery which already exist in the Fredericksburg (City) Cemetery. Sorry you've gone to all this work to list so many of our veterans, but you've added to the wrong cemetery & they already existed in the correct one. You must have been surprised to find so many significant persons in such an historic cemetery without memorials! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news :( Please see my earliest emails for commentary, after a while I'm just sending the links!
|Lisa G||Ebenezer United Methodist Church|
Recently it was discovered that there were 3 seperate sites for Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Lamar County and they have been merged resulting in many duplicate entries.

Do you by any chance happen to know or have a way of checking who is buried beside Austin McLean #102041317?
I am trying to locate Austin's wife, Minnie Driver McLean and noticed there was a stone beside him which you had photographed.
