|Joan M. Croson||RE: William A. Akins|
Thank you,Nancy, for your reply. Do you have a copy of his death cert.? If so, it might state where he was born and who his parents were. The Wm. A. I'm looking for had two older sisters, Clarinda L. and Malinda E. and a younger sister, Marinda. Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it.

I am researching my Akins line and I believe your grandfather was brother to my Ggrandfather, John Randolph Akins. John was the oldest child of Lydia Akins. The family was the 1880 Pickens Co., Ga. Census as Lydia head of household, John, age 20, Clarinda L. age 10, Malinda E. age 8, William A. age 6, and Marinda age 3. Can you tell me if William's mother was Lydia and what happened to her. Also, there is no father listed. Do you know who their father was? I would really appreciate any help you could provide. I have been searching for years and this is the first solid lead I have as to the mother's identify. Thank you for any help.
