She was b Nancy Elizabeth Parker in Liberty (now Long) Co, GA, youngest child of George Washington Parker (1814-1869)and Alsenath ("Sena" or "Ceney") Baxter (1825-1864). Her pars were bur at Jones Crk Bp Ch near Ludowici, GA.

Alsenath's great-grandson, the late Elmer O Parker, retired archivist in Natl Archives, WDC, was source of my info and was considered by many an expert on the Baxters, Parkers and other families. He had two Baxter lines as I do. Mine come through the Smiths of Rye Patch community in present Long Co.

RE: Blanche Wallace
Thank you for taking the photo's and placing them here. I've never been to Florida and thus I've never visited Uncle Barney and Aunt Blanche's graves.

Thank you Donna for editing and updating Aunt Blanche's Memorial. I'm her brother, William Joseph (Joe), oldest Great Grandson. Are you related to Uncle Barney and Aunt Blanche and if so how?

Yes, the older deed books are down in the basement. I think they have copied a lot of them and bound them into smaller books. I prefer to look at the old, heavy books, myself. They don't mind you photocopying the BIG books, either. Just haul them upstairs into the "Vault room" where the marriage records, etc., are located. It's in this same room where they have the Grantee/Grantor Index books and probate indexes. Copies are $1.00 per page. I take my digital camera in there and shoot photos sometimes...they don't mind and it's certainly cheaper than paying them for copies.

The last time I was in Norton Creek Cem was quite some time ago. The caretaker at that time was Terry Putnal. His phone numbers were (850)973-3685 and (850)973-0158 (CELL). Try to call him ahead of time because I think he had to first contact the company that owns all that land...FL Woodland III, located in tell them someone wants to go to the cemetery, and STRESS to him you have an ancestor buried in there. If you can't get in touch with Terry, I have a phone number for a lady named Jane at FL Woodland III who I think he talked to. (800)342-8600. Terry will unlock a gate and you can drive in. I recall he went with us into the cem, which was nice because the cemetery has not been kept up and I had a 99 yr old lady with me the first time I went in there. He can scare the snakes away for you, too.

The stone you are looking for seems to me is pretty much straight ahead when you go through the cem gate and I think was kind of at the back of the rows(?)of graves.

Glad to help you in any way..............

Good luck, Ann
