Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been researching family genealogy for many years and also upload local cemetery registers for the cemeteries in our county.

I have no familial connection to most of the people I upload, so feel free to request transfers of your relatives. I only ask that you let me know how you're related to a family. Or if you have a decent reason, I'm good with that, too. If you'll take good care of a memorial, I have no problem transferring if you're not related.

While I have many memorials, I am not a numbers person. I would rather have family members maintain memorials.

I make updates very quickly, and usually do not reply back unless I have a question. I frequently will use the email provided in the edit to respond to a question. If your correction has not been made, please check to see if I've emailed, as I normally don't make the updates if I do not have the question answered.

**Please use the Edit feature on memorials over requesting changes in messages or sending emails. That really is the easiest and most efficient way to accomplish updates. Thanks!**

****If you volunteer on this website and decide you no longer want to maintain memorials, please transfer your records to someone who has an active account and are willing to take over management of the memorials. I am one of many willing to take over records. This really will help reduce duplicates.

Right now, you can email if you have someone who has accepted stewardship over the memorials you added. Please send in their member number with your email. Feel free to contact me should you wish that someone maintain the memorials you have created. Thanks!*****

Death is only an old door
Set in a garden wall
On gentle hinges it gives, at dusk
When the thrushes call
Along the lintel are green leaves
Beyond the light lies still;
Very willing and weary feet
Go over that sill
There is nothing to trouble any heart;
Nothing to hurt at all.
Death is only a quiet door.
In an old wall.

Made the photo as my avatar. Could not make out names on stones on either side of JohnBlaska -- if there were any names.

RE: St. Martin's Cemetery, Ellis
I do have a photo; how do I send to you? These three stones are right next to each other, with the one etched JohnBlaska (no space) in the middle. Stones are same type, each had once or still have a metal cross.

St. Martin's Cemetery, Ellis
You were kind enough to locate John Blaska's tombstone. On either side are similar stones, one on the right with its metal cross still attached to the stone, the one on the left with the cross broken off but planted in the soil behind the stone. John Blaska's cross has been broken off and is missing. Wondering who those two flanking stones belong to. I suspect his wife Barbara and daughter Clara, who died at age 10.

These three stones are located in the second row from the west (or is it the 3rd, now that I look at the picture?) from that stone building. (What is/was that stone building?) In that row, they’re numbers 6, 7, and 8 from the road. The middle stone reads “JOHNBLASKA” without any space.

I guess the records are kept at Sacred Heart but the receptionist there is apparently too busy to respond. I have a photo I could send you. We were up there a month ago.

Memorial # 102992226 . Because you sent added information to his memorial, I thought you might be interested in seeing his death notice that I came across and added.

Sincerely, Barb Jones
