George and Nettie
Hi Sue,
Here is some more Info to help figure out age's

1895 Census of W. S. Fasick, lists George as Age 11 and census date is 1Mar1895, so on 8May George would Age 12, born 1883.

1880 Census of Gabriel Blewett lists Queenie as Age 2 and the 1900 census has Nettie listed as Age 22, full name is Queenie Juanita "Nettie) (Blewett)
Fasick in 1920 census.

It appear the death certificate (February 1941)for George should read Age 56, 9m,20d, 57 on his birth day in May and wife age should be 62 not 64 and 63 in March her Birth month.

George Fasick
Hi Sue, I did find George in the 1910 Census as Farick, age 26 and since the census was dated 4th of May and his birthday was 8th of May he would be 27, making his birthday 1883. I also turned in a correction on his last name so when it get's updated you will be able to search by Fasick -- Ken in AZ - no luck on the 1930 census, yet

George Fasick
1900 Census for Scott (Winfield Scott) Fasick list George as Son being born May 1883, Age 17 and that's what I used as a source. Someone posted 1920 as Age 38 and 1940 aa Age 52, but I thing his age she be 57 on the 1940 Census and 37 on the 1920, which would fit with the 1900 Census -- Let me know if this works -- He is my wife's Grand Uncle I could not locate him on the 1910 and 193 census, but it could be the spelling of his lst name, I will continue looking if it helps. Josephine Mine Cemetery Volcanoville
Additionally, while researching the location of the graveyard, I learned that the cemetery was acquired and re-vamped by Native Sons of the Golden West, only a couple of years ago. So, they likely would have some useful information to that might help your cause. This is the website that actually helped me the most in regards to finding the graveyard and knowing what to look for:

RE: William Ogle, Volcanoville, El Dorado County, CA
Hi Sue, Feel free to use any of my pictures you would like. I took the pictures with my iPhone, so if you would like a high quality file instead of just a screen capture, let me know and I can send them to you. I was happy to find the graveyard at all, as it was very difficult to find due to there being so many roads out there in the area where it's located, and very little information on how to get there. As I was researching Josephine Mine Cemetery, I ran across several websites (including one through El Dorado county government itself) that indicate there are actually two cemeteries in Volcanoville. On USGS topo maps, there is a small symbol indicating there is another small cemetery on the side of Volcanoville road, (nowhere close to Josephine Mine Cemetery). I have been unable to locate it, as it is on private property and I have yet to seek out anyone to ask permission from regarding exploring the area for it. But, if you are interested, I have the map on a digital file, I could also share with you if that is something you are interested in.

Woodfords Cemetery, Alpine County
Notice you put some people in Woodfords Cemetery, Alpine County, CA.
I am assuming that this is the cemetery behind the garage which is located next to the Woodfords Store?

I was up there recently. Trying to locate where Woodfords Hotel was in 1859, I believe it is where the garage now sits.

The cemetery behind must have been where the Hotel Garden was. My ancestors was buried in the Hotel Garden Dec. of 1859. Just trying to make certain we are dealing with the correct locale. There is nothing on the Woodfords Cemetery Page as for it's location.
Any help is appreciated.

RE tombstone dates of Joseph Francis Taylor and wife

I have not touched the b and d dates that are on Margaret Knight Taylor's Find A Grave memorial. Those were the dates that were on the memorial when it was transferred to me.

My reason--I cannot read the dates on the tombstone. The picture is too blurry. I have inquired of the photographer if they would tell me what is on the tombstones as most photographers also have a notebook with the transcriptions. They have never responded to my quieries, so I am hesitant to change them.

Below is my reading of Margarets:
Tombstone date of death-- 23 Nov 1863
Aged-- 65 years, 2 months
Family Tree Maker Date Calculator date of birth-- 23 Sep 1798

My reading of Josephs;
Tombstone date of death-- 24 Nov 1877
Aged-- 76 years, 1 month
Familty Tree Maker Date Calculator date of birth-- 24 Oct 1804

If you can read the dates better, I would appreciate knowing what they actually say.

My line of interest is:
Sister of Joseph F Taylor is CInthianna Taylor who married James Knight JR. Cinthianna and James are my 4th g grandparents.

Joseph and Cinthianna's parents are Simon Servious Taylor and Elizabeth NORTH.

Mary Margaret aka Margaret KNIGHT, wife of Joseph Taylor, is the daughter of James KNIGHT, SR, a Rev War Soldier, and Margaret PRIGMORE. They are also the parents of James Knight JR who is married to Cinthianna Taylor.

James Knight SR and Margaret Prigmore Knight are my 5th g grandparents.

Simon Servious Taylor and Elizabeth North are my 5th g grandparents.

My ancestors are the siblings of both Mary Margaret Knight Taylor AND Joseph Francis Taylor.

Interesting, huh???

I would be very interested in your reading of both of these tombstones in this cemetery.

Hi Sue - Thank you so much for the info. I added it to his bio. If you send more info, would send your source info too? Saves me from reinventing the wheel and looking for sources. I like to include the sources in the bios. Again thank you a lot for all your help. Really appreciate it. Kind regards, Phyllis
