David, thankyou very much for the feedback.
I really do appreciate it. I do not know
of any Pruet's living, so it is kind of nice
to meet you.

I was on and found names going back
to Henry Prewitt (1654-1722). Do you know if your
information was from

Also on Walter Pruett (10/30/1827-2/11/1918)someone wrote a great history of him on find a grave. Would you have any idea who that was??

Walter Evert Pruet (1827-1918)
thank you for your response. I understand you needed more information.
Walter Evert Pruet was my 3rd great grandfather.
His one son Robert Gregory Pruet (1856-1936) and then again his son Jyles Leslie Pruet (1885-1935)
and then again he had 4 daughters. Alta Elizabeth
Pruet (my grandmother). For the most part they lived in South Muddy Township, Ill, Olney, Charleston.

Robert Gregory Pruet and his son Jyles took their
families and went to NM to survey for the railroad
in 1906 (?). I have several pictures of three generations of them in New Mexico about that time.

They then went home to Illinois.

My question to you is how are we related. I do not
know all of the names of their children. And also who wrote that nice writeup about Walter Evert Pruet (one of Jasper county's selfmade men). Can
you help. I noticed your name was the last or first on Walter Evert Pruet (1827-1918) page.
Thank you for any help you can give me.

Pruetts of Kentucky and IN
David, there was a David Pruett who arrived in Lawrence or Greene county in 1840 and then moved on. My ggrandfather was William Pruett 1834-1922, born in West Virginia, died in Lawrence county, IN, served in the Civil War in VA 1862-1865. Do you have a William in your tree? My mother was a Pruett who died in 1995. Ggrandpa William Pruett married Martha Sims in Monroe Co. KY and moved up to southern Indiana: had 5 sons: Woodson, Oliver, Albert (my grandpa), Mathew and William Elias Pruett. Could I see your tree, please?

Kevin Glover
Dexter, Mo. Pruitts
Trying to piece together my now deceased father's family. He is a Glover of Virgil Calvin Glover and Thelma Pruitt (I think). She was born on September 19, not certain of the year - 1932? Her mother, I thought was Pearl, born 1898 not sure when she died but I do remember that she was once struck by lightning and had to have skin grafts on her legs because of it. According to this site however, Pearl Pruitt of Dexter, Mo. had no children. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know my father had a sister, Judy and a half brother Billy. Judy lived in Missouri the last I knew (about 30 years ago) and Billy was in the Air Force and spent time in Okinawa and California.
