I became interested in genealogy in elementary school, and I started actively researching my family in middle school. I've enjoyed every adventure since then.|
I came across FindAGrave.com when I was trying to do some family research for my husband's family. After finding one of his family members, I decided to search for my own family. I was surprised to find that a number of my Dad's family in Missouri was already posted online with memorials. I was so grateful that someone had gone out of their way to input my family online. After all, they didn't have to. They weren't related to them, didn't know them. After that I decided to become a member in hopes of keeping alive the memory of my relatives as well as others even if I didn't have the privilege of knowing them, for I want to return the favor that was shown to me.
My husband, Mark, enjoys coming along and visiting cemeteries with me. He claims half the pictures we've posted he took, but I'm not so sure. :-)
Please leave me a message if I have made any errors in my listings, or if you have additional information.

His name is Alva E McMillin b 08 Sep 1886 in Aurora, Barry County, Missouri & d 25 Aug 1960 in Oklahoma. He shares the marker with his brother Artie L McMillin Memorial# 27071021 b 21 Feb 1884 in Barry County, Missouri & d 1962 in Oklahoma. Their parents are Enoch J McMillin & Harriet Elizabeth Greenway also buried in the Fairview Cemetery. The family farm was a couple of miles east of the cemetery.
Enoch & Harriet McMillin raised my m-i-l's mother after her parents died. She married William Ilo Lewis whose family farmed the land immediately south of the cemetery.
Please make these corrections. Thank you for creating these memorials.

|Melody Dennis||Unmarked Bourland Graves|
My grandparents, Thomas Monroe Dennis (1882 – 1907. His wife and two daughters are also buried in unmarked graves @ Bourland.
I am seeking information regarding mappings of grave location and plots. Do you have any idea where I could get a lay-out of Bourland about 1907 and then 1936. This would cover the dates of burials of both grandparents and two aunts.
Any assistance you lend would be greatly appreciated.

John and Priscilla are not buried at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in the town of Concordia, They are buried south and east in the old Pleasant Hill Cemetery. My pictures depict the location. Please remove your photo of the one in town. Thank you
|Christopher||Thanks for Emmett C Black record info|
Thanks for recording info for Emmett C and Delta F Black who are buried at Counsel House Cemetery. Emmett was my surrogate grandfather and through sad circumstances I lost touch with him and didn't know where he had been buried. Thanks so much for this information and for your efforts in this project.
|Patricia Stanard||Pollock Cemetery|
You took a photograph of the entrance to Pollock Cemetery in Jackson, Missouri in 2007. I know it was a long time ago, but how does one get to Pollock Cemetery? I have tried to Google search it, but there is no definitive address. There is also no website or any information on how to gain access to the cemetery. I wanted to make a trip to see the cemetery next year to see if my husband's family members are located there. I have put in a photo request for my ancestors at this cemetery, but no one has offered to take the picture yet. Any information you can give will be very much appreciated.

Thanks so much for doing this! My grandparents, great-grands and many aunts and uncles are buried there with your parents. They probably knew each other. Thanks so much for taking the time and effort to do this important work!
