I live in North Central Texas. My roots go back to Ireland, Germany, France and other countries I'm unsure of. They arrived in Texas via Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee with names like Brown, Chastain, Brooks, Brooke and Moore.|
If you find a mistake on any of my inputs, please let me know; I want to correct it. Let me know if you have additional information; I will gladly add it to the memorial in a timely manner. If you are family, I will transfer it to you even if it is not directly in your line (Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, etc.)because I believe that family belongs with family.
If I inadvertently duplicate one of your memorials, let me know and I will delete immediately if not sooner.
Feel free to use my pictures, etc. on other websites, but please, have the courtesy and scruples to give me credit for them.
PLEASE do not post pictures of death certificates or newspaper clippings of obituaries on any of my memorials. Other pictures are welcome as long as they pertain to the subject person and are NOT PICTURES OF DOCUMENTS. If you wish to add an obituary, please transcribe it and send it to me through "Suggest a Correction". Be sure to name the Newspaper and date of publication.
I just love the contributors who are sticklers about staying with FAG guidelines when it comes to not transfering memorials outside a straight line but routinely add bio information with their flowers instead of forwarding it to the owner of the memorial per FAG policy.

|Lynda Duncan Miles||photos of obituaries posted to memorials|
Hello. I am an avid genealogist, and just wanted to say that occasionally I have found a photo of the original obituary on one of my ancestor's memorial, and was thrilled to find it, so I could add it to my Ancestry page for them, and in my files, as well as being able to forward it to other family members. I was sad to read that you don't like them on your memorials, when I have found them so useful to me and my family to save forever.
Thank you for all your hard work for this great and valuable site! God Bless!

Woops! I didn't give you her full name. It's Lucinda Frances Markam Townsend.

Her name should be Lucinda - it was just misspelled in census records. She was born in NC, not TN, the daughter of James and Janete Markam. Lucinda married James Calvin Townsend in 1853 in Perry Co TN.

Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to take photos of my family's memorials. Have a wonderful week.
|Vicki Sinderson||RE: FAGl# 27238789 Laura Frances McClain|
She was my first cousin 3X removed. Her father and my g-g grandfather were brothers.

On the above memorial, you have Laura Frances Lockware McClain. Her maiden name was McElyea. She was born January 28, 1874 in Cherokee County, TX and died July 10, 1972 in Fort Worth, Tarrant, TX. She married Benjamin Alphonso McClain September 2, 1894 in Hunt county, TX.
Would appreciate it if you would correct this or you can assign it to me and I would be happy to be the keeper.
