I am a 49-year old mother of 2, born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. I have lived in Charlotte, NC for 20 years. I found Find a Grave when I started researching my family tree. I feel that it is so important to keep as much of our history and heritage intact as possible, so I am trying to do my part by photographing cemetery markers and creating memorials as I have time. It's not a speedy process, but I really do enjoy it, and I hope I am helping someone to "connect" or become inspired to do the same. Feel free to use any or all of my photos anywhere, anytime, and without credits. Enjoy!
Rev. Thomas Clark Elizabeth, many thanks for transferring the memorial of Rev. Thomas Clark, 1st pastor of Long Cane and Cedar Spring A.R.P. churches in Abbeville County, South Carolina. Your contributions here at Find-a-Grave have been invaluable to my family research. ~ with appreciation, George Gaston
Josiah McCall not sure you still check messages - RE: my previous message - I found his grave and I have posted memorials for his parents. Are you a descendant? If not, I'd be happy receive management for his memorial if you'd like to transfer since I am a direct descendant. If you prefer to keep it, that's fine - just offering. Thanks.
Josiah Franklin McCall Did you take the pic of Josiah Franklin McCall's grave at Philadelphia Presbyterian Church in Mint Hill, NC? If so, was it in the cemetery right beside the church? ( They have 3 cemeteries). I'd like to go place flowers on Memorial Day but I need to know where it is.
Behymer Hello Elizabeth - I am presently taking pictures and revising records for New Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau and came across the Behymer graves. it looks like Hamer's name is spelled wrong on his memorial page. Or was his name Homer? I looked at ancestry.com and it says Hamer but his death certificate could be Homer or it could be Hamer. The gravestone has Hamer. Could you check into this? Thanks. Ruth
