FRIX FAMILY: when I fulfilled the request for photoraphs I made photos of every Frix in that area. Please see photo captions for added information. James R. Frix is buried between wives, Susie and Meta and Meta's infants. Meta was a mother of two and her infants died before 1910 census.

RE: Re: Willis & Cornelia Maddox requests, Roselawn, Baton Rouge, LA
Ok, new photos have been added. In almost all of my photos, if you click the photo tab and double click the photo, it enlarges and you can read every detail of the stone. If these are still not good enough, please let me know. I will keep trying.

I don't know what you mean by high school resolution. That area and that type of stone is very hard to get a clear photo but is possible when some of the mud dries up. Should you need clearer, better photos, please let me know. I am out there at least once a week.

Should you need better, clearer photos, please do not hesitate. There was a service in the area about to start and I did not want to intrude.

DON SHARP
John & Julia Thornton
Patricia,
I wanted to let you know that I went to Pleasant Grove Cemetery this morning. I wanted to let you know that there is no grave marker for them in the cemetery. In 2004 the Carroll County Genealogy Society conducted a survey of all cemeteries in Carroll County. The is no mention of John or Julia Thornton in the survey. A survey was previously done 1986 with no mention of John or Julia. The survey does list unmarked graves, grave marked with only stones, even broken stones. The committee did an excellent job documenting all graves. There were two unmarked graves noted in the survey next to F.M. Thornton's grave; but since the survey was performed a marker with the names of David William & Mary Edwards Thornton, Jr. has been laid in that spot. I will send you a photo of that marker. I am sorry that no marker is in the cemetery of John or Julia Thornton.
Don
