Served 26 years in US Air Force. Saw a lot of the world. Stationed in Taiwan, Phillipines, Germany, Japan, Vietnam, Turkey (twice). Traveled through at least 20 more countries or Islands. Got hooked on FAG when I was asked to find a ladies Great-grand-parents in Tallapoosa county Alabama. Walked most the graves within 10 miles of Camp Hill Al (Tallapoosa county) . Found them on my second look at one of the first places I had looked. You may use any of my photos without permission. If I fulfill your request, let me know.
Thanks so much! Hey, Jim -- Thank you so much for getting the photos of my grandmother's side of my grandparents' headstone. You photographed Nellie Pelton's stone from Hampton National Cemetery. Grandma died in California, and we were able to meet back in Virginia to get her remains back with Grandpa's -- but then we all left town and were never able to see her headstone. And your timing was great: tomorrow would've been her 104th birthday. This is such a terrific thing that you do... my family's very grateful to you.
ROOSEVELT BRITT JR. Thanks for the photos of SFC Britt's cemetery marker in Horton Vet Cemetery. He was my drill sergeant in basic training at Fort Polk before Vietnam service. No one ever forgets their drill sergeant.
Regarding Franklin Boring Thank you Jim for taking the time out of your day to locate my cousin, Frank who was buried in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery located in Suffolk, Suffolk City, Virginia, United States of America. Memorial #: 152932491. It means a lot to me to have a picture of his grave. Marea
