I have been interested in genealogy since around 1998. I enjoy finding new information on family members. There seems to be be always another branch to research. I enjoy walking in the peaceful cemeteries as we seek for a long lost relative. |
If I have any errors please let me know and I will correct it. For corrections, family links and transfers please use the edit button, because then it sends me a link to the page. I am willing to transfer family members upon request, if that such person is not related to any of my family.
The family names that I am researching are:
Brooks, Whitlock, Walker, Paulson, Lien, Baxter, Schaefer, Roeder, Papcke, Polzin, Nystrom, Norgaard, Simonson, Richards, Long, Burrows, Walsh and Delamater / Delemarter, Kreger, Lenning, Buchholz.
A thank you for those family members who have helped me take photos of memorials. My Sister-in-law Marceen who did all of Lakewood Cemetery in Waubay, Bergen Cemetery in Codington County, and Mazeppa Cemetery in Grant County. She also helped with Lakeview in Clear Lake. A Huge Thank you to my Sister, Lynne Shada who has helped with many of the cemeteries, You traveled with me to many states, walked cemeteries with me, photographed stones, researched at many locations with me, also you were my typist. You typed so many family stories, obituaries and such. Lynne, you are in our thoughts and hearts, we miss you greatly. Please stop and leave her a flower if you get the time.
I try to leave memorial flowers on all my family members and others for the date of birth and death. It seems to leave a personal touch to each individual. If you visit any of my relatives please leave a flower for them.

Would you please link Alice Bateman Grant #33744112 to her parents Alvin Bateman 50702544
and her mother Margaret Yolton Bateman #50702546
Please delete where it shows her parents as
Alvin and Margaret Grant as it is incorrect.
Thanks so much.

I would like to request a transfer of Estella. She is a distant relative but I have quite a bit of info that I could add to her entry.

Thank you so much for her tombstone photo :)
I just checked on some other memorials and I see that siblings comes up automatically. Neat feature. I like it.

|yvonne||RE: Henry D Yolton|
Thanks for letting me know this is a new feature. I know I had never seen it before on any other memorials. I went back and looked at where it says siblings on his mem. and I see his name is in gray and the others are not. Also a little hand appears on all the names but Henrys. I guess there is nothing to delete. In essence it is saying these are Henry's siblings. Sorry for the confusion!! When did this new feature start? Does it automatically list siblings or do we edit them in? Once again sorry about the confusion and thanks for letting me know.
