I love Find a Grave site, such a great way to make a permanant memorial for our family and friends. We appreciate all the folks who contribute to it and try to keep it clean. My husband likes to restore old broken headstones and I love to clean them. His first community project after he retired in 1995 was to bring two old forgotten cemeteries back to the beautiful places they are today. It is just awesome visiting memorials you know you may never get to visit in person.|
I really appreciate it when someone sends me a note of correction, additions and changes. I know I need help often and you all are so kind.
If you are connected to any of my memorials by family or friendship (and they aren't mine) I'll be so glad to transfer them to you. I'm about keeping families and friends together, not at all about the numbers. Even if you are closer kin than I am, I'll still transfer to you. Just ask.
Some of our Surnames are: Coker-Jarrel/Jerrell/Jerrells-Dryden;Hurst-Mathis-Zipperer; Jones-Inman-Outlaw; Crews-Fletcher; Mikell-Edmonds-Ward.

You are THE best... Thanks so much! We do have an interesting family, and friends, don't we?!
Happy New Year!

Betty, you are my only hope. Do you have any idea what his initials stood for? I have searched all over and everywhere I find him, he is listed as M.R.! Merry Christmas from hot and stormy Alabama!

Thanks, Betty. No, it does not make it right. His Social Security information has his name the way I suggested was correct. I figured that was a good sign that a mistake was made on the monument. Perhaps merely a note indicating the possibility of an error would be sufficient.

I saw your name on a Find A Grave page showing the marker of James Adolphus Mills, son of George Washington Mills. Have recently been trying to do a page for my husband, William E. Mills. George Washington Mills was his great, great, grandfather. I have been trying to find out who George Washington Mills parents were. In the past, we were given incorrect information. Know that he was born in Rutherford County, NC in 1831 and was married to Sarah Marian Horton. Didn't know if you were family or just a contributor to Find A Grave.
Thanks for your help.
