Family Memories show us the roots of our past and shares with future generations of our will to continue on. Preserve Family memories well, for when we forget, memories can never be retold.
My mother and I started with the family tree when I was a young girl. We would go and hunt through old cemeteries to find loved ones. Since my mothers death, it has been really important for me to continue searching for family members. I have found through lots of research that a large number of my ancestors were located in the Lexington County, and Newberry County area of South Carolina and in the area of Swainsboro, Georgia. Through the research I have found that each of these lines are rather large lines of family.
These are a few of the family names that I am researching:
Smith, Lowman, Oswalt and/or Oswald, Shealy, and Atkins.
I love genealogy. Genealogy has become a favorite past time for me. I love finding new information about family members.
I hope that the information that I have added to Find A Grave helps to connect other families.
Please let me know if I need to make corrections or if there is other information that needs to be added.
God Bless you.

I'm not able to make the change. The spousal link was made from Jerry Clay Johnson's memorial. The manager of his memorial will have to make that change.

I would love to email you but see no email address. My cousin, Bobbie, sent me those pictures year ago. I wonder if she got them from you. They were just copied from a copy machine. Those are the only pictures of I have of Aunt Montine and Aunt Florence. They were my grandfather's sisters. Bobbie said that she thought that Montine had a son - Joe Grifith - but that was about all she knew about him and didn't know where he ended up. I would LOVE to hear about Aunt Montine taking care of you children. Did you know Aunt Florence through Montine, or did she work for your family too? I'm thrilled that you contacted me and hoped that someone would. I have worked hard to link up all those Griffith siblings. God bless.

Memorial# 68876000 - I added the info and links to her parents as you requested. She was the granddaughter of Henry Luther Price and Susan Nancy Boland which is why she is buried in the Price Family Cemetery.

Hi Jeanie, I have added info about both wives of Wilson to his bio. Do you know the last name of the second wife? Let me know if the additions are satisfactory and if you have other info to add. BTW, I also have Shealy ancestors who settled in Newberry Co SC. Best regards, Barbara Long Stanford
|B L Stanford||Marion Walter Long, 21528141|
Thanks for the names and memorial numbers of Marion Walter Long's parents. I have linked Marion to them. Best regards, B. L. Stanford

May I just transfer Lester and Marie to you and you can make any additions, corrections or links that you would like? Ann
Ernest Jacob Nunamaker, Sr.
I am adding your information to the memorial. Thank you.
Would you like me to transfer Ernest to you?
Thanks for all you do.
Hi Jeanie, I remember your mom from way back. Norristown, GA days growing up. My grandma, Sara Drake, and your grandma Ouida Mae were sisters...I hate using past tense. They still are sisters in heaven no doubt. We might have played together at some of those reunions. :) If I could only tell you the numbers of time my mama (Flo) called me Royena...we always pronounced it very southern....Row-we-na. How nice to connect here.

Sara Scales that is buried in Shepherd Cemetery is the daughther of William David Adams and Elizabeth Nance Adams who are also buried in Shepherd. In my notes and research that other family members have done, I believe she was married to J.G.(Griffin) Scales also buried there. My documents show that she was born in 1811 and died in 1865 and the partial date could very well be the date of her death. Her siblings were Sherwood William Adams, Mary Duncan Adams, Thomas Jenkins Adams, Jeremiah Burns Nance Adams(buried in Shepherd), John Rial George Washington Adams(buried in Arkansas) and a couple other sibs.
I got the info about the grave stones from the cemetery book in the library and stumbled upon by misstake. I have not been to the cemetery myself but my father recently walked through it and it is very over grown.
I hope this helps you. Please email me if you are looking for other ancestors because I've got a bunch of info. I also have an Adams family tree on Ancestry.com.
Good Luck in your research!
