I am a mother of 2 and grandmother of 5. I am disabled and live in a very small town in Ohio. I enjoy genealogy, reading, and spending time with my family. I am originally from southeastern Kentucky and my parents were from Wise Co., Va. I miss the mountains but love where I live now.

RE: Mary Louemma Meade Wright
Thank you Debbie - Canary was my Great Uncle x2
Did you notice Mary is not connected to Canary as spouses.
I also wondered why you never applied their middle names?

My source for place of birth was Confederate pension record. I will make note that census lists N.C.

Elizabeth Carson Bratton
Thank you so much for your work, I am a 5th Great Nephew of Elizabeth (and husband Jacob) I just found your pic for a direct descendant of them in Kansas. Carson is spelled wrong in this record, see note below.

To Max: I don't know if you will ever see this, hopeful I can contact you directly when finished here. The headstone you speak of is not that of Elizabeth's Father, it is her brother, and the family has surmised the stone mason did his name wrong and the family did not make them correct it. The stone your referring to is in Horseshoe Baptist Church Cemetery North of Charleroi PA. If you look closely at the date of death it is 1848 not 1818. Elizabeth's Father is my 5th Great Grandfather and Thomas Esquire (he was a Judge) is my 4th Great Grandfather and the stone does say Esq. I visted this grave myself Oct 2 2009. If one notes his wifes stone next to his (Mary Gibson Carson) it has Carson correctly and so does his brother A. Jackson Carson and several others with it. The grave site of Thomas & Mary Smith Carson is unmarked and a family dispute to two burial places, some say he is in Horseshoe, other lines were told they are in unmarked graves on his original 160 acre farm on the fence line which is still in tact and in the family.

Thank you so much for the photo's of Mary Bish and Jacob Bish. I have added them to my Anc. site also. Glad people out there are willing to help. I never would have make it to Ohio, tho I live in Michigan, traving is not a option for me at this time in my life.

Lawson Stones
Thank you so much for the great pictures of the tombstones for the Lawson Family. It is wonderful for you to take the time to go to the cemetery to take them for me! I always want to thank you for the efforts to find David Lawson's stone. It sounds like you went to a lot of trouble to try to find it. I really do appreciate all that you've done!!

Malvia Wright Memorial
Hi Debbie, I wanted to let you know that I claimed this because the Timber Ridge Baptist Church is right within walking distance of my house. So I just went to look for this grave Me and My Sister search this whole cemetery and I could not find this grave in it. I am very sorry that I was unable to fill this claim. If there is another name that may have been used instead please let me know and I will search it again.
