Hi, I saw your note on the Slentz memorial and wonder if you know if his wife Elvina is the same person as Elizabeth A.(Flory) Slentz? Elizabeth A. Flory is shown as the mother of Cora on Cora's marriage record to Aaron Dunn in 1891. Perhaps, Elizabeth died and George remarried to Elvina? CindyLee

RE: Stephen McCurdy tombstone
Stephen's wife, who preceded him, got the much larger maker! It appears that no one followed up to get his Civil War marker.

Francis Owen
The 1850 Brady Township,Williams Co., Ohio puts Francis as 7 years old. He was born 1843 or 1844.
That is all that we have been able to find so far. Francis was a child of my 3rd grandfather.

RE: Samuel Stroman
Absolutely YES!! You may use his photo!!! What a great accomplishment and I will gladly send a photo to you. It is not in his military garb, though, just a suit.
This excited my whole family when we found it on his Find A Grave site.
Thank you again!

Just wanted to tell you I looked up your publication...AMAZING!!! Thank you so very much for all of your hard work! We know more about my great grandfather now! We do have some photos of him if you'd like me to send some to you. Just an FYI-his daughter, Sylvia Estella, married Chester H Aldrich, the Gov of Nebraska from 1911-1913. My grandfathers name was Burr Ray Stroman and his Samuel's other son was Charles Francis. Only three children-when he came from a family (was the last one) of THIRTEEN!
Thank you again!
