I live in Stillwater, OK.
I love doing research on Payne County, Oklahoma and surrounding counties.
Due to the death of DonZas, I am managing the memorials in Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater that he posted. I will be keeping all of the memorials that are in my family tree. And, believe me, there are alot of them.
However, if you wish for me to transfer a memorial to you, send EACH request through the "EDIT" - "SUGGEST A CORRECTION" Link on EACH person's memorial. Please allow time, because I get alot of requests each day.
REMEMBER the Find-A-Grave RULE states:
Transfer requests should be for DIRECT RELATIVES WITHIN FOUR GENERATIONS. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Uncle, Aunts, Cousins, nephews, mother's brother's first cousins, well, these don't count as a direct relative. And, yes, this part is included in the rules.
E-mail me if you have a question or if you have a request that I haven't already uploaded.
Also, I have photographed and transcribed Ripley Oak Park Cemetery and Mt. Hope Cemetery near Ripley, OK. I don't transfer these memorials, but I will add the information and links if you ask me.

You've sent me several changes for this entry, but something doesn't smell right. His wife's entry says she is buried in Oklahoma, yet you say the husband died out there and was shipped back to Downingtown, Chester County, Pa for burial. That's an awful long trip in the 1830's Further, did I read she was Baptist, or was that her family? If she was not Quaker, John (Or Jeremiah) would most assuredly have been removed from a Quaker Meeting for marrying out of the faith and certainly not be permitted to be buried in a Quaker Cemetery.
I really think it is a stretch to think this John Downing is your Jeremiah Downing.
I have not declined your request, only 'ignored' if until you can provide documentation for your claim. I'm not trying to be a findagrave Nazi, just want to get the facts right. Let me know.

I'm writing re Iva and Ina Mathes McVay. They are twin sisters. Iva married Harry McVay and had two children. When Iva died Harry married her twin Ina and they raised the children. Do you know if its easy to get informational death certificates in Oklahoma? On the findagrave memorials you are managing there are two different birth dates and I'm not sure which is correct 1894 or 1895. Ina use to come to California to visit her sister Arminta Mathes Munyon (my husbands Grandmother). We remember her well. Would like to hear from you. Sandra Munyon
|Nancy Lorenz||Marjorie Hopkins|
I'm wondering where you got Marjorie Hopkins's parent information. Can you please let me know the source of George Benjamin Hopkins and Eva Belle Moore Hopkins. George and Eva were my grandparents and we don't have any record of a Marjorie Hopkins. Thanks so much! Nancy in Oregon
|Robert P. Higdon, Jr.||Sarah M. Stewart|
Sarah Stewart is my great grand aunt who is buried in the Fairlawn Cemetery, in Stillwater. I would like to have a picture of her gravestone. I live in Maryland so it's not possible for me. Thanks
|J. Binder||Elizabeth Barlow|
Pam, regarding your request for me to add her date of birth, may I ask what your source is for that information? I don't think I have any records that reflect a date of birth for her.

Thanks for trying to obtain a picture. I appreciate the assistance very much and have entered your findings in the bio section.

|Betty Lee||Richard L. Lee and Clarence Lee|
I'm trying to find out more about this family because we may be related. I have a postcard written to my grandfather in 1910 from Clarence Lee in Newburgh, Indiana. Clarence says he is my grandfather's cousin. Richard L. Lee (the father) and Clarence Lee (his son) were killed by William Lee, another son in August of 1911.
I would appreciate any information about who Richard's father may be.
Thanks, Betty Lee

Are you related? My father rented the building in downtown Stillwater where his old Chevy dealership was. That was around 1975.

Hello Pammy, I submitted an edit request to add his complete date of death. I also added a photo of his newspaper obituary and a photo of the flag of his civil war regiment, the 144th NY Volunteer Infantry. Thanks for having created his memorial. Paul Turner
