Hi all! I currently live in the burbs of Chicagoland, but my roots are in central Iowa. I grew up in Knoxville, but I think of the Wapello County area as my ancestral homeland. My parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, and some even beyond that grew up around the small town of Agency, and my sisters and I spent many a weekend jumping hay bales on my grandparents' farms. I love finding out about family history, and I am endlessly fascinated with exploring old cemeteries. In fact, did you know that you could come away with 117 chigger bites after spending just one hour during a dry summer at McCormick Cemetery?! ASK ME HOW I KNOW THAT!!! Oy, and yet, I keep going back. Gotta love it. :)
