My name is Kathy, I am the mother of three wonderful sons, 8 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandsons. I discovered this wonderful site several years ago. I have enjoyed helping others as they search for their loved ones. I will be happy to take photos of graves in and around Lampasas County, Texas. I am retired and would love to be able to return some of the many favors I've received while doing my research. I am researching the Golden (Goldin), Williams, and Morgan lines from Alabama to Louisiana. I am also researching the Scallan and Ducote families of Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana.
At present, I am making a point to visit, take pictures, and record each and every grave in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas, TX. This is a personal thing to me and my way of saying I care for those that have gone before us. If I add a memorial, it will be because I have visited that person's grave and paid my respect to them. I have not a single family member in Oak Hill and am happy to transfer memorials to those of you who are family members. Please feel free to use any photograph I have taken for your own personal family tree use. | |

 | RE: Capt Adam Stone Thanks Kathy. Since it is next to their main headstone, we'll let the pic stay. If you would, please make a comment in the picture area that Adam Stone was a member of Co K, 28th Regiment, North Carolina Infantry (State Troops). I think this will help others.
The Stone family didn't move to Texas until after 1865 when Adam and Sallie were married in Randolph Co, NC. So he couldn't have served in a Texas unit. I think a family member got the other A.W. Stone's military info and didn't think about double checking before the marker was made.
I did make a note on the transcription area last night about the error on the marker, as well. So 'we' will have it posted in 2 places (on the main memorial and then on your pic.
THANKS:) Pam | | | Sherlocks Cousin
 | Capt Adam Stone Kathy: After researching, the military headstone pic for Adam Stone #34981616 isn't the correct person. My cousin was in Co K, 28th Regt NC Infantry during the Civil War. Would you please delete the military headstone photo? Thanks. Pam | | | Scout Finch
