My family has been in the central Texas area since the 1840s, so my efforts have been concentrated in that area, mainly in Bandera, Medina and Kendall counties. I am the county coordinator for the Bandera County, Comal County and Guadalupe County TXGenWeb sites, which have (and still are) turning up a lot of interesting history. I have also been working on my husband's family tree, which takes me into Gillespie County, and on my son-in-law's family tree, which has me researching in Guadalupe and Comal counties. Between all these, the list of names I'm researching is substantial.
I strongly believe in free genealogical information. That's why I volunteer for as many local genealogy websites as I can find, and I post my results to free genealogy sites. I encourage everyone to add their burial records to this wonderful database, so that these memorials, some fast disappearing, will truly never be lost. If you find your family here, and would like me to transfer ownership of the page to you, please let me know! I'm not into racking up big number counts on my stats. I AM into having family members monitor their own kinfolk's memorial pages! Please request transfers through the memorial page itself. Due to the overwhelming number of correction/addition requests I have been receiving, I may occasionally transfer memorial pages automatically to the requester. PLEASE if you are requesting a transfer, make sure you are logged in to Find A Grave when you make the request so I will have your member number! Also, please be aware that a large number of the memorial pages I have created are my relations, so if you send a request for transfer and I don't immediately comply, it is probably because I am related to that person as well.
I'd like to acknowledge the invaluable assistance of the intrepid Jane Jahns Rice (thanks, Jane!) for assisting me with photographing the large San Geronimo Cemetery in Seguin, Texas.
Peace... | |

 | RE: Harrison Photo Just to let you know, I took another photo of Eleanor Harrison's headstone. Memorial # 97912878. This one is much clearer. I'm curious, Eleanor's headstone is a military headstone and she died in 1942. She must have been in the military during WWII. Do you happen to know in what capacity she served? This is the first headstone I've seen like it.

 | RE: Mary Jane Sanders Sapp Hi Donna, I have a lot of information concerning the Sapp family. Feel free to contact me by e-mail at drhooker@verizon.net
I do have a number of photos but I haven't located graves for many of the Sapp kin. I plan to place a couple more on Mary Sapp's Findagrave memorial. I will do what I can to help with your Bandera project.

 | RE: Furstnow Photos and Transfers You are welcome, Donna. Glad to be of help.
I wanted to let you know that one row over from Arthur, Wallie and Rose was a grave for Myra Kay Furstnow. Unfortunately, I neglected to charge my camera battery before leaving for the cemetery and it went dead after getting these other Furstnow photos. I will be heading back to the cemetery to complete another photo request the next day the weather cooperates, so if you'd like me to photograph Myra's grave at the same time just let me know. | | | LKat
