Thanks you so much for the picture. Our family is distantly related Malinda through her ancestor, Nathaniel Hicks. Just found the connection a year ago. It seems Nathaniel who married the Native American girl had a son, Jacob Meshack Hicks. Meshack's eldest child was Jacob Hicks who married and stayed in Wayne County, Kentucky. One of his children, Wiley, is our line of Hicks'. Wiley migrated to Missouri and the rest is history. We had no images of Wiley or his children, except for one son (our line) and one daughter. Have yearned to see some of the older images. It is wonderful

Thanks for posting!

RE: Henry Guilliams
You are welcome. Regrettably, it was covered in sod and grass clippings, and I forgot my whiskbroom, but cleaned it as best I could. Guilliams are a OLD Pioneer family here in Holt County, and glad I found him for you.

Leonard Thompson
I purchased the home next door to mine. The home included a lot that was the former home of your great-grandfather. The home that he resided in burned in the 1970s, but the pieces of the house were turned into a large garage that still remains. The only other physical landmark are the stone walls that go around the property and the front stairs.

He was enumerated there in 1930 and he was living there when he passed away.

I've been researching the properties that I own to preserve the stories of those who were there before.

Hi there,

Are you related to Leonard M. Thompson? He lived in a home that I own in St Joseph, Mo.
