Any memorial page I have created I have a picture of the headstone. |
If you want a photo officially request one, don't bury your request in a spouse or another family members photo request.
Too many volunteers are now asking for other volunteers to do their research, please try and do your own on your time.
I take responsibility ONLY for the information obtained from the headstone unless otherwise specified by me. There are very few exceptions.
Due to the changes and procedures for adding addition information it is very time consuming to include the source. Find A Grave DOES NOT provide a way to show where the information comes from.
In light of these changes and the automated edit system, which makes it almost impossible to deny acceptance of changes and addition, I have been transferring all memorial pages to those wishing to make edits. This too has become too time consuming.
Therefore, in order to include the changes whether the information is CORRECT OR NOT I feel I am being forced to accept all edits. I hate this part because I have had quite a few people send edits only to resend two or three times in order to make corrections.
If you find errors send corrections but do not, I repeat DO NOT ask me about the information posted or hold me responsible for the additions. This goes against all genealogical best practices, but the only other solution would be to take down all the memorials and pictures I have posted.
If you find an error, double listing or double picture please let me know so I can correct the problem.
I have in the past used a picture of the cemetery gate/sign with "Office couldn't locate a burial for this person" imprinted on it. If you get this posting and do find a picture of you persons tombstone, let me know and I will remove it.
SHOULD YOU WISH TO MANAGE A MEMORIAL PAGE, PLEASE JUST ASK FOR A TRANSFER.

Bummer there is no headstone. Thanks for taking a photo of the area. Much appreciated!!!!
Thank you very much for trying to find headstones for Alexander and Irene. I especially appreciated your patience in making multiple trips to the cemetery as I sorted through family relationships trying to identify which people were family and how they were related.
Thank you soooo much for the picture of my great grandfather's headstone. I appreciate your time and dedication to family history.
Thank you so very much for the photos! Much appreciated.

You're making me laugh. The cemetery isn't far away so it's easy for me to get over there. Glad you like the picture (the sun was just right today) and very happy to be able to do it.

May I use the photo of his cemetery marker at http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=pv&GRid=17997789&PIpi=10659876 to post on his memorial page at http://www.virtualwall.org/dv/ViseGF01a.htm The marker photo documents his Purple Heart which we will be adding to that page.

Thank you very much for the prompt headstone photos. I requested on March 9 and you uploaded on March 19, excellent photos and very prompt. When one is on the east coast and headstones are on the west coast, it is especially appreciated.
