Bio Photo My first stop in a cemetery is any photo requests, then it is the small white markers with the little lambs; the ones that are slowing giving in to the elements. Next, Veterans from any war, especially the Civil War, they seem to be forgotten about. This summer has been spent on many a gravel road with map in hand looking for the small out of the way cemeteries in this area. Sometimes hubby comes along.

More than happy to transfer any family, except of course, my relatives. Gladly will make any corrections, additions or relationship links. The great thing about findagrave is so many helpful, friendly people adding pieces to the genealogy puzzle.

Re:A.O. Johnson
Kate,
I want to thank you for getting the pictures I requested so quickly. However, you did it too quick, I was going to add a couple more today. The pictures you took were of my grandparents. I also wanted Velida R. Johnson (aunt), Elvira M. Ruettell (aunt) and John H. Ruettell (uncle). Is it possible to get a GPS reading at the Johnson-Ruettell stone? When my wife and I take pictures we also include the GPS reading so people can "google earth" it and know exactly where the grave is. Thanks again. Phil W

You're very welcome. Thanks for finding his location for me. The cemetery is huge and would have never located him without it. Have a great day

Sure thing. Walter was next to them, I believe their son? I posted to his memorial as well.
Cheers! :-)

Thank you for the information regarding the gravestone. Do you know who the parents are? I'm curious why you listed it in this format? Did you get this from the cemetery books? Thank you. I'm looking for a distant cousin.

RE: Jesse C Martinez
You are most welcome.

I had that original request from November. I had found the headstone Application on Ancestry and when I checked with the office, they couldn't find anything in their records. I had kept the information with the idea to go back after the holidays and double-check. Then another request came in and on the second trip into the office, same thing nothing on the index. So I asked about the burial date in 1949. The counselor went back to the archives and came out with the original index card from 1949. For some reason the information hadn't gotten onto the system.

I'm glad that I was able to help.

Take care,

Margi
