I am 32 years old, originally from Arizona, but I have been in Idaho for 17 years. I met my wife at BYU-Idaho, and we now have two beautiful daughters and two adorable sons. I have been obsessed with genealogy since I was very young, and I am happy to help others find their ancestors.|
Lately I have been getting multiple requests for the same action in the same week. Please be patient. I generally take care of all of my emails on weekends, because I have a lot keeping me busy during the week. If I don't fulfill your request within a couple weeks, feel free to resend it at that point.
I contribute to this website because I have gotten so much out of it for my own research. I love finding records of my relatives' burials, and especially love when there is a picture of their grave included. My contributions are my way of giving back. I'm not trying to get the biggest numbers on my profile, although I admit that I check my numbers often. (I have a degree in Mathematics, I can't help it.)
I try to add family links, places, middle and maiden names, and any other information I can find to each memorial. If you have this information and I have not included it, please notify me through the Suggest a Correction link under the Edit tab. I usually get to them the following weekend. I will transfer family members, as long as they are not my relatives also, but I ask that if I transfer them to you that you be willing to update the memorial if anyone asks. One thing I hate is a "dead memorial," one that the contributor doesn't take care of and nobody can ever update again.
If you find a birth or death certificate for one of my memorials, please send me the link rather than adding it as a picture to the memorial. I love adding these extra links, and I think it looks better than a picture of a document.
I am also working on getting my entire family, no matter how distant, linked and updated on here. This involves a whole lot of correction emails. I don't generally include source information with my emails, because of the time it takes, but in most cases I have that information handy if requested. If you have received hundreds of emails from me, please be patient. I am not trying to annoy anyone, and I am not in a rush to have it done, I'm just trying to help make this site better for future visitors.
When I find a relative's memorial, I add it to my virtual cemeteries under the branch of my family that they come from. As of Apr 1, 2016, I have 28967 relatives found on Find a Grave. I usually leave flowers on relatives' graves if they don't have any yet, because I don't want any of them to be forgotten.

My name is Monika Brandt and while doing research on my grandmother I found that you have left a flower on her memorial wall, and also on her father's wall my great grandfather. Juanita Marie Allen Weller and Hyrum Allen are their names, and I was curious if you were related to the Allens. My grandmother died before I was born and my father never spoke much about her so I have very limited information on her and her family other than the obvious being her name and religious affiliation. My father was James Leslie Brandt, who died in 2006 but his sister Penny is still alive living in Auburn Washington. Any information you have would be greatly appreciated. my email is firstname.lastname@example.org I would love to hear back from you.

Hi, I could not find a record for my grandma and grandpa so opened one on Gravefinder... I uploaded two pictures of them and then fairly suddenly I saw your entry for them and very quickly after that the pictures that I had uploaded were on the entries that you made.
It will be very confusing for people to have both of these entries out there and I think I read that only one should be there for each grave.
I'm thinking that we should put our heads together and work this out... also... I'm very curious as to what your connection to them is?

Hi, I submitted a death certificate for my cousin. I appreciate the link you set up to her cert. but it is not working. Would you be willing to put the cert. on her page? Thanks, Jo Ann

Hello, I am the Aunt of Velma Martin. I am doing the Martin Genealogy and am requesting a transfer of Velma to me. I only accept Family members on Find A Grave, so adding her to my family is important to me and my family. She is buried less than a half mile from me and therefore she is remembered, when I visit my 2 sons there. Thanks for the consideration. Jerri Sellers Martin Find A Grave # 48130138 email@example.com
