I have been doing family history since the days before computers and even copy machines! How much more fun it is now with tools like findagrave.com. I am compiling all of my family's information on ancestry.com as well as familysearch.org.
I am willing to manage any of my ancestors graves, transfer them to closer family members, share information, and/or take photo requests for local cemeteries. Please feel free to use any of the photos I have posted for your family history.

My pleasure. :)

Thanks I really followed Rebecca's life on what I could find online. An amazing journey. It is so tragic when parents are not supportive of who their children are. I am sorry for you Great grandmother's ordeal.
also read about the adventure to find gold in California!
Their is certainly a pioneer spirit in our Swain ancestry.
Nothing dramatic about my line.
I am very glad to meet.
Your cousin Barb

You are most welcome. Sometimes it just takes a second trip to the cemetery to find a headstone.

Thank you for sponsoring my memorial for Col. Zadock Granger. He was a very important early pioneer of the city of Rochester and I am privileged to have been able to memorialize him in some small way. I am not a relative but very interested in and respectful of the history of this area. If you want to say hello my email address is firstname.lastname@example.org.

Thank you for your addition of the pictures about the home of Isaac Swain Sr.
He is my 6th generation great-grandfather as this was such a wonderful find today. I hadn't done any research on this family for quite some time.
Like you I started back in the early days, and yes Find A Grave and all of the online resources are just amazing.
So I can note it, who is in the picture of the Swain home. And who is Barbara.
What is your relationship to Isaac Swain. Mine is through his daughter Eliza who married Alvertus Leroy Watkins.

Yeh, I don't know what they are thinking. They have two people doubled like that on the same memorial. I guess they just can't decide which ones they want to keep.

When you purchase the headstone for Ruby if you let me know I will go to the cemetery and make sure that it gets loaded to the site.
